Deva dasi were given land to sustain income But during british rule land was siezed forcing some into prostition

Just read the news today that the last Devadasi has passed away In india this week (sashimani-devi) who was 97.

Ileana Citaristi, an Italian-born scholar of traditional dance in Odisha, stayed with sashimani-devi and asked her questions face to face in 1994 when she was organizing a government-sponsored conference on traditional dance.

When she found Sashimani — "the only surviving dancer in india" — sashimani-devi had been taken in by a local family, and received a pension from the temple of 700 rupees a month she stated, or about $12, Ms. Citaristi Found out from sashimani statement that In The past centuries, the devadasis had drawn income "from land allotted to them by the temple", but temple lands had Been confiscated During the british rule of india, leaving the surviving women (destitute), she said.

Her Information should be put on the deva dasi wiki page over other peoples information, i mean if the last Deva dasi cannot give her final word on her own history as a over 90 year old, then whats the point of recording history?

Also something keeps bugging me about this and it was something i learnt in history class, infact im sure everyone is taught this. In Victorian England if a woman had shown more than her ankles she would could be titled or even named a Prostitue, I wounder if this led to these Devi dasi being titled as this in text book write up during 18th century to the 20th? this is why i dont like the old write ups, i just get a gutt feeling that something may have went wrong its a shame we cannot put the stuff in about what was and was not considered lady like during them day92.236.96.38 (talk) 02:20, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

Request reason:

Am I related to OccultZone, AmritasyaPutra and others that are noted at ? You can compare contributions and subject interests with these accounts,-- I am not interested in animals, celebrities, sports, crime and politics like any of these users. According to the tool, there are no articles where I contributed with OccultZone, except one talk page which was RFC. I never contributed on any good article, AmritasyaPutra continuously did. I had conversation with AmritasyaPutra by email, I was asked by him to vote at , I didn't because I was busy. I got notified by a conversation from Sitush' talk page, that should be read. I also expect that there are multiple individuals controlling these usernames. I have only this account. I don't know about technical similarities. I contributed just every day until April for some two years and got 15k contributions. After inspecting these points, one cannot think that I controlled some account with 200,000 changes or had a account from 2008. Bladesmulti (talk) 05:04, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I ran a few checks and can verify that this is clear cut, 100%  Confirmed sockpuppetry. As you were recently banned by the Arbitration Committee, the community is unable to establish terms of an unblock. Mike VTalk 06:24, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have found some contractions. I remember SamuelDay1 most, I had reverted him before, this user had closed Bhartiya Janta Party's RFC against AmritasyaPutra. Last changes of AmritasyaPutra were made to Arbitration enforcement, where he wanted Darkness Shines to be blocked, OccultZone was opposing block.

If there is suspicion we can look forward to some agreeable terms. Bladesmulti (talk) 05:07, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

Can you explain what was going on here? Chillum 06:13, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
Not my edit. Bladesmulti (talk) 06:36, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

I was notified through discussion on Sitush' talk page. Just wanted to post the explanation, that I am unrelated to these accounts. You can revoke talk access or protect this talk page if you would like to. Bladesmulti (talk) 06:36, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
