"Vandalism"
Please be careful about refering to other editor's work as "vandalism". You can disagree with someone's edit all you want, but if there's any reasonable chance it was done in good faith, calling it vandalism only makes the situation worse. Friday (talk) 15:29, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
You seem to be completely ignoring the fact that Midnight Syndicate's post is an autobiography, a very obvious self-promotion tactic, and seems to have no valid references (only the band's own PR campaign and from what I can see some serious revisionist history). Douglas claims to have not known, but his own sales manager Lizstjames was the first to post other that the unknown IP addresses, which are likely the same person. What happened to not being allowed to write about onself? Is that rule no longer in effect? Because if so, then I should like to place my owb bio on a page for my books, which are on Amazon and have been featured in a good many magazines. For that matter I could talk about upcoming books as well. Please explain how case this differs. GuardianZ 20:39, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- We still don't encourage folks to edit articles about themselves. However, this does not make such an edit "vandalism". We use the word vandalism only to apply to edits that are intended to cause harm to our content. We frequently get kids writing about their garage bands here, for example. Such edits aren't vandalism, they're just the result of new editors who don't know any better. Friday (talk) 21:24, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
That's not what I was told at all. It is clearly stated that no one may post their own page, their own bio, etc. This is not a place for self-promotion no matter what. And does it not strike you as odd that this band seems so intent on covering up their history, six or seven other members and their producer? That just seems really strange. Calendar starting on Monday
Since you asked, the reason why the weeks start on Monday is that User:212.202.10.69 unilaterally changed them, citing that according to the ISO 8601 calendar, weeks start on Monday. Instead of reversing the User's changes, I started a poll so that the Wikiproject Calendar community can settle the matter democratically. --Munchkinguy 22:27, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Geocities link in your edit
Thank you for contributing to Misplaced Pages! You recently added an external link to Geocities in an article. It has been removed because the link pointed to a non-encyclopedic source. Please refer to Misplaced Pages's policy on external links for more information. --Veinor (ヴエノル) 05:55, 13 November 2006 (UTC) |

I've blocked you for 3 days for your use of the sockpuppet Oroboros 1 to tag-team on the Midnight Syndicate article. Please review WP:SOCK. Khoikhoi 22:51, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Also, do not attempt to evade your block, or it will only be extended. Khoikhoi 23:28, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
{{helpme}}
I was unable to log in for MORE than 3 days. Today (11/28/06) is the first time I have been able to log. That's 8 days. I still can only log on my talk page. And I am NOT Oroboros 1, who DID log in after me (I saw by the history that his post was deleted). Can you please check again. I would like my name cleared of the charges. If need be, I can give my IP again. It's not changed since I got my account. GuardianZ 00:01, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- According to the block-log (found here) you are not blocked. Is it giving you a message that you are blocked from editing pages? ---J.S (t|c) 00:05, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
{{helpme}}
Thanks. It seems OK now. Can I ask for a new usercheck on myself and Oroboros 1? I only have one log in, no family to blaim it on (like User:Skinny_McGee has), and as far as I know no one else has the same IP. I can see my IP each time I get on the internet. It's in my control panel. I'm sure that the admin who did the check can verify if I even tried any other IP, and according to the notes I read, Oroboros 1 logged in under a different IP. Also, I just found that User:Dionyseus placed a template on my user page, and I believe he did so out of malace because someone is investingating his friend Skinny. Both have been involved in the same edit war as me, and Skinny was found out to have 3 other user accounts. GuardianZ 14:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
- Actually I placed the tag on your userpage because of the result of the checkuser request: Dionyseus 15:14, 29 November 2006 (UTC)
