Augustin Rivard (1743May 5 1798) was a farmer and political figure in Lower Canada.

He was born Augustin-Amable Laglanderie Dufresne at Yamachiche in 1743, the son of Joseph Laglanderie Dufresne (Rivard). He settled on land inherited from his parents in the seigneury of Gatineau. Rivard was named a sub-baillif at Yamachiche in 1767. He was elected to the 1st Parliament of Lower Canada for Saint-Maurice in 1792.

He died at Yamachiche in 1798.

His daughter Charlotte married François Lesieur Desaulniers, later a member of the legislative assembly, and was the mother of Louis-Léon Lesieur Desaulniers, a member of the Canadian House of Commons. His daughter Françoise married Charles Caron, who also became a member of the legislative assembly.
