Common weaponry of WWI includes the machine gun, biological and chemical weapons (including nerve and mustard gas), rifles, swords/bayonettes, light tanks, reconnaissance airplanes and standard naval vehicles such as cruisers, battle ships and transports. These new forms of weapons changed the way war was fought. See Technology during World War I.
