Central America is a region formed by 7 Hispanic countries and one Anglo-Saxon (Belize). This isthmus unites North America with South America. This made up of:

Central America has an absolute population of 41.081.300. in the 2006 and one 523.674 surface of km², with a 78,4 density of hab/km², although its population is not distributed the same. For example, Belize is greater than El Salvador by 1.924 km², but El Salvador has 30 times the population of Belize. Also it happens with Panama and Costa Rica, Costa Rica has more population than Panama, but Panama has more surface than Costa Rica. The White Population

The white ethnic group has an approximated population of 7.762.251 hab. of where almost more than half one is in Costa Rica, thus occupying 19,0% of the Central American population.

The Mestizo Population

The racially mixed population (amerindian and white mixture ) is formed by 25.410.209 hab., occupying therefore the 61,9% of the Central American population. The greater percentage have Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. Costa Rica has a small reserve.

The Black and Mulatto Population

The black and mulatto population (mixture of black and white) is little abundant, is more in Belize and Panama. In this one last one one occurred by the construction of an interoceanic channel that brought black of the Antilles. They form a ethnic minority of 1.461.580, obtaining therefore the 3,6% of the Central American population.

The Amerindian Population

This is one of most important, since it is formed by the native towns of America. The greater reserves have Guatemala, and are small minorities in the rest. It has a population of 7.580.674 occupying therefore the 18,5% of the region.
