Error on call to Template:Cite newsgroup: parameter title required.


Parameters are as follows:

  • title, the title of the post (required)
  • author of the post
  • date the post was made
  • numeric id of the post
  • newsgroup the post was made on
  • url on Google Groups
    • accessdate for the above URL

According to Misplaced Pages:Reliable sources,

"Posts to bulletin boards and Usenet, or messages left on blogs, are never acceptable as primary or secondary sources.
This is because we have no way of knowing who has written or posted them."
