The son of the 6th Earl of Bradford and Mary Willoughby Montgomery, was educated at Harrow School, London, and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1969 and a Master of Arts in 1973. He succeeded his father's titles in 1981
Lord Bradford has owned Porters English Restaurant in London's Covent Garden from 1979 to 2003. He was Chairman of Weston Park Enterprises between 1986 and 1999 and is currently Chairman of VIP Internet Ltd, a website design company. He also runs the website http://www.faketitles.com, which exposes those who seek to make money by selling phoney titles to the credulous or ignorant. Lord Bradford is a high profile supporter of the UK Independence Party.
Family
Since 15 September 1979, he has been married to Joanne Elizabeth Miller, daughter of Mayfair turf accountant Benjamin Miller. They have four children:
