Welcome! Hello, Stephenfleming, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Misplaced Pages:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place I also see that you've edited an article related to Georgia Tech. If you're interested, there's a collaborative effort to improve Misplaced Pages's coverage of Georgia Tech, called WikiProject Georgia Tech. If you would like to participate, you can visit the project page, where you can join the project and see a list of open tasks and related articles. September 2007
Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Misplaced Pages. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to Neal Boortz. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. --Maniwar (talk) 14:21, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- I don't believe this was intended as vandalism. See the Talk:Neal Boortz entry. --Wynler | Talk 16:14, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Since Wynler was able to find a source showing that this is in fact not spam, I am undoing this warning and stating that Stephenfleming did not intend any spam or vandalism to the account. --Maniwar (talk) 18:13, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Survey Invite
I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they effect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Misplaced Pages that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 15:33, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Masten-logo.png
Thanks for uploading File:Masten-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Misplaced Pages (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:33, 11 September 2021 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of VentureLab
The article VentureLab has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence of notability, no evidence this was ever notable. No RS coverage; has never been a well-cited article, tagged as such since 2006. A WP:BEFORE shows only other companies of the same name.
While all constructive contributions to Misplaced Pages are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. David Gerard (talk) 09:33, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
