Darul Huda Islamic University (DHIU) is a private Islamic educational institution founded in 1986 in the district of Malappuram. From 2009 it has referred to itself as a University, but the UGC did not recognize it even as a Deemed University until 2020 or as a Primary School by any government agency. However, its madrassa course is approved for admission to selected Arabic and Islamic programs in some Indian universities.
Currently, its website lists a number of affiliated institutions across Kerala and other states in India including Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka and Assam. It aims to produce proficient Islamic scholars who aim at empowering the community along with the modern sciences.
