30°52′59″N 75°51′00″E / 30.883°N 75.85°E / 30.883; 75.85 The 1991 Punjab killings was a massacre of train passengers that occurred on 15 June 1991 in the Ludhiana district of the Indian State of Punjab, where Khalistani militants killed at least 80 to 126 passengers travelling in two trains.

26===December 1991==Thursday It was frosty evening of December because in those days decemeber month was always to be chilled every year.We Boarded into a Passenger to travel towards Jagraon on firozepur branch line.The train was scheduled to depart at 6.00 pm but it was been already late and departed at 6.40 from Ludhiana.train was having 6 bogey and we was about to board last bogey but on of the friend of my father advised us to sit in the 2nd last bogey because last one was so messy. train departed from Ludhiana and started to move very slowly and was unusually stopping without any stoppage after departure.Because that time was full of fear and threatened by militants in Punjab and most of accidents were performed by militants before.after 40 minutes of departure near about 7.20 train reached at the point called sohian fatak 5 kilometers before jagraon train was unexpectedly stopped by militants and the boarded into trains as most of the militants were already in train and engine too. Militants were successful to attack the train and started firing and killing the peoples those were seemed to be Hindu.The tried to board in bogey in which we were sat but fortunately and suddenly our bogey was locked by some daily passengers and militants were not able to open fortunately after multiple tries and knocking by the buts of gun. were were lying into seats.Louder threatening and killing voice of AK47 was spreading and making environment fearful and as well as the screaming voices of peoples was also a part of the fearful night.after the killing drama of 30-40 minutes.Voices were getting slowed down.somebody called police force by factory situated near the point of Accident. Searched light were coming outsides of the closed windows.force of CRP and Police and BSF were reached. They tried to make us believe that were were safe now.they opened windows and show us identity cards.door opened. 5 out of six bogey were demolished by militants and women.mens and kids were killed brutally.only one bogey was safe in which we were sitting.they put us in van after inquired that where we have to reached.they left us at jagroan.By the grace of god we were safe.but that scary and killing night crushed many families and put them into mouth of death.After 32 years the scenes become fresh when 26 December came every year.That is more scary chapter of my life......
