Template:SpongeBobCharacterMrs. Puff is a fictional character on the Nickelodeon animated television series, SpongeBob SquarePants. She works as a Boating School Driving instructor who teaches students (including SpongeBob) at Mrs. Puff's Boating School. Mary Jo Catlett, better known for her role as Pearl the maid on Diff'rent Strokes, provides Mrs. Puff's voice.
Appearance
Mrs. Puff is a white puffer fish with curly yellow hair and green fins. She commonly wears a blue shirt, and a red skirt. She also wears a small blue hat.
Occupation
Mrs. Puff makes a living by teaching citizens how to drive. She has her own boating school, called Mrs. Puff's Boating School. Mrs. Puff often gets hurt by SpongeBob's bad driving, and ends up in jail a few times. Her erratic behavior comes from two fears: the first, being stuck teaching SpongeBob, an annoyingly painful, and yet perfect, student; the other is letting loose a monster like SpongeBob who could destroy Bikini Bottom with his awful driving skills. Being a pufferfish, she often inflates herself when something bad happens, such as when SpongeBob crashes during boating lessons.
Life
Not much has been revealed about her personal history, except that she has had to move from another town and start a new boating school under a new name. She quotes, "...I'll move to a new town, start a new boating school under a new name. No. Not again." She has had a history of mental instability. She quoted, "You can get through this without losing your sanity. Whew, that's a road we don't want to go down again."
Not much is known about her love life, but Mrs. Puff once had a husband, Mr. Puff. However, she doesn't like to talk about what happened to him (Mr. Puff was turned into a lamp). Mrs. Puff once went on two dates with Mr. Krabs.
Mrs. Puff has a pet snail, interestingly it resembles Snellie, a snail Squidward once entered in the Great Snail Race. She has had this snail since she was a little girl.
Mrs. Puff has spent many times in Bikini Bottom Jail, the city's penetentary. She first was imprisoned for six months being responisble for SpongeBob's actions. She was then once again jailed for stealing Spongebob's boatmobile, then again after being held responsible for Spongebob's reckless driving, as it seemed.
She also appears in SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature from the Krusty Krab.
