Please note that there is a longstanding consensus to keep Russian names in the articles of Ukrainian cities / administrative divisions where Russian is spoken by a significant part of the population.--Ymblanter (talk) 19:59, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

In Ukraine, the official language is Ukrainian only. Russian, Romanian and Hungarian do not have any, regional or official status. Please return my edits. Also today, the US Council on Geographical Names unanimously supported the decision to replace the official name of the capital of Ukraine from "Kiev" to "Kyiv" in an international base. The Embassy of Ukraine in the USA reports this on Facebook. We will seek to rename the article on Misplaced Pages. Vitaliyf261 (talk) 20:12, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

Deliatyn Settlement Community moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Deliatyn Settlement Community, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Misplaced Pages). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Ds alert

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Eastern Europe or the Balkans. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Misplaced Pages's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Contrary to what the template said, you have performed active disruption in the topic area, and have been blocked for it, but now you have received an official notification that the topic area is under discretionary sanctions--Ymblanter (talk) 13:53, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Membership Action Plan

If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

The page Membership Action Plan has been speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This was done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appeared to be a direct copy from https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/topics_37356.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Misplaced Pages takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Misplaced Pages to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Misplaced Pages's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Misplaced Pages:Deletion ReviewDiannaa (talk) 13:57, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Tyler Anderson (blogger) (January 24)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by KylieTastic were: This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Misplaced Pages article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Misplaced Pages. This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources. The comment the reviewer left was: Requires significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources to show notability - YouTube and Facebook are very rarely independent reliable sources - Each language Misplaced Pages has there own standards, and they tend to get stricter the more articles there are, English Misplaced Pages requires they to meet standards such as WP:BIO or WP:GNG Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved. KylieTastic (talk) 11:48, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 8

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Annexation of the Metropolitanate of Kyiv by the Moscow Patriarchate, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Peter I. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Featuring your work on Misplaced Pages's front page: DYKs

Thank you for your recent articles, including Metropolitanate of Kyiv, which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Misplaced Pages's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list at T:TDYK. This can be also done through this helpful user script: User:SD0001/DYK-helper. WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages

Thank you for your recent articles, including Metropolitanate of Kyiv, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Misplaced Pages:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk pages of the page you placed the translation. Romanization of Ukrainian

Hi. Please stop changing romanization of Ukrainian names and revert these edits. There is a consensus to use the Ukrainian National System, as recommended in WP:UKR, and not some German-language romanization or whatever you are using. Please read the relevant guidelines and discuss mass changes in an appropriate venue before you start (like at WP:WikiProject Ukraine). This is disruptive. —Michael Z. 20:26, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

Maybe because it is a linguistic romanization, which is also mentioned in this list? It reflects historical Ukrainian Latin, which is now used separately by Ukrainian enthusiasts, rather than a "national transliteration" based on the English alphabet. I'll tell you more, at one time I removed the linguistic romanization from some articles, but eventually came to the conclusion of its return. Separately, national Romanization is already mentioned in the titles, in the article itself, and in general everywhere. Your statement about "brackets" is exaggerated, and moreover, the example of the use of historical Latin "in parentheses" is present in the same vobłasć of the Republic of Belarus: Mogilev Region, Grodno Region etc. —Jafaz 20:44, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
