Requested move
Suggest that the article title be moved to Alphonse and Gaston which seems more in line with the sources. This move, because a redirect already exists at that namespace, would require an admin to complete it. MURGH 23:59, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- After a fairly long wait and no opposition, I'll assume this is uncontroversial ;-) MURGH 18:07, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- Done!! ~Eliz81 18:25, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
- That was swift, thank you. MURGH 18:35, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
Animated cartoon?
Have a vague memory from my childhood that this might have been made into a animated cartoon, or been been parodied in an animated cartoon... AnonMoos (talk) 05:26, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
yes, the goofy gophers, mac and tosh, were a take off on this. http://en.wikipedia.org/Goofy_Gophers
I'm surprised this is not linked to from this entry, as it specifically references this entry. --24.131.55.104 (talk) 18:35, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Tommy Handley
Tommy Handley, a very popular British comedian of the 30s & 40s, did an "After you Claude, no after you Cecil" gag which was obviously modeled on Alphonse and Gaston. Will look for ref.86.146.232.79 (talk) 09:38, 11 July 2018 (UTC)
Dragnet
Not sure if this qualifies for “Legacy,” but in the 1987 film Dragnet, the villains use a false catering company called Alphonse and Gaston as a cover. Felicity4711 (talk) 06:06, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
