South Carolina article
I'm new and trying to figure out the article submission guidelines; obviously I have it all screwed up. I also tried to answer your question on notability, but not sure I posted right there either. After reading the instructions, I'm no better off than I was before. I will fix what needs to be fixed, but I'm not sure what it is. You can also e-mail me at truck6alpha@aol.com if that helps. Thanks.

It was my pleasure to revert your user page - I am sure you often do the same! Take care. Stizz 13:03, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Huh?
Revert rant? I'd really appreciate an explanation as to how this was a rant. I recognized that there had been a misunderstanding which was my fault, and I thanked you for what I logically assumed you were trying to do, prevent vandalism. I also pointed out that there was more there than you looked at and that in that case, there was an alternate action that you could have taken. I wasn't ranting, I wasn't even mad at you. It wasn't a big deal, I noticed your revert on my watchlist a few minutes later. I was just giving you a suggestion for the future, and in re your talk page guidelines, I wasn't trolling, I was respecing Wikiquette, I was assuming good faith and I think that I was being nice. I also always try keep in mind what Misplaced Pages is and is not, though most of it doesn't really apply here.
I'm really confused by your removal of my comment, which I didn't think was negative, and certainly wasn't meant to be negative in any way, and I'm even more confused by your classification of it as a rant. I'm also a bit confused by your response. Generally people either ignore "rants" or comments, or they respond and talk things out, hopefully keeping a level head. Deleting a comment or even a rant not only doesn't respond to the user--you obviously aren't required to and I wasn't really expecting a response, but deleting the comment destroys the record of the discussion--see Misplaced Pages's talk page guidelines.
You were obviously upset by something I said, though I'm not sure what, but deleting a legitimate talk page comment is not the way to handle it. I'd appreciate an explanation, because there was obviously a major differenece between what I intended to communicate and what you got from my comment, so any light you could shed on why you thought my comment was a rant would be helpful. In case there's confusion about this comment, I'm not ranting here either. I'm trying to communicate my confusion and inform you about a Misplaced Pages guideline you may not be aware of, and I'm hoping that you'll explain what happened with my previous comment and refrain from deleting legitimate talk page comments in the future.
