The heading for Public Image should be "Public Image" or "Criticism" either are fine. Putting down "Sexism of the Press" is not appropriate. It is an opinion not a fact and has no place in an encyclopedia. Freshacconci has reverted several times now from multiple user edits.
Additionally, the entire public image section needs work from someone a bit more experienced than me. I don't see how Tony Romo is relevant enough to Yoko Ono that it should be included in the article.
The "Public Appreciation" is also strange to have as a heading for an encyclopedia. The entire section reads like a recruitment for a cult of personality. If you read that section you would get the impression Yoko Ono is a popular person, not a widely despised figure. I don't see how anything is that section is relevant to a bio on Yoko Ono. The entire section should be nuked imo.
Parts of this article come off as written by people that have a massive bias towards Yoko Ono or sockpuppets. The entire article needs to be semi-protected and needs to be edited by a neutral experienced user.
The biggest issue with this BLP article is the lack of verifiable sources for some of the content. An additional issue is that considerable amounts of content seem to be WP:UNDUE. I think compliance with GAC#3b would be obtained with some trimming of low-relevance info, esp. in the later life section. (t · c) buidhe07:17, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
Delist - no improvements, and uses user-generated sources like last.fm and discogs multiple times. Needs sizable sourcing work, and at almost 12,000 words is probably too long. Hog FarmTalk22:40, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
I removed some categories that were incorrect and/or not applicable. One that would be correct is U.S. Residents/Green Card holders, which isn't there. I tried to find the correct "category" for that. If someone knows how to do that, please do. Hotcop2 (talk) 22:27, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
Short description edits
as per MOS:SDDATES, a birth date for a living person should only be included in the short description if the birth date is sourced in the article, which it is not in this article, so I've removed it. Also, Ono has permanent residency in the US and should be described as a Japanese American, I think. Matuko (talk) 14:29, 26 June 2022 (UTC)
A hagiography, not a biography with any merit. The page author won't allow any edits or fact- checked Wiki sourced details that put Ms Ono in anything other a saintly light.
I tried to add clarification to the long opening over-view (which is too long anyway) as some facts need further explanation. This is clearly a hagiography and not a biography because anything that the sainted Ms Ono has done in her long life that puts in a less flattering light, is omitted, even though they are necessary details that should be included in any factually correct, multiple sourced (and checked) biography worth its salt. This has obviously been created and written either by a fan or someone from the Ono camp. To be read with a pinch of that salt. Mag Wildwood (talk) 22:32, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
