Semi-protection of Misplaced Pages:Criteria for speedy deletion

Why did you semi-protect WP:CSD? The page has not been vandalized in over 10 days. --N Shar 20:48, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Please write accurate edit summaries

This kind of edit summary is misleading. Yes, you are archiving your talk page, but you did not archive all of the comments on your talk page; you both archived and deleted talk page comments. Having an edit summary that reflects only one change when you have made more than one, especially if they are major changes, is misleading, and in this particular case, could look deliberate, like you were trying to hide the deletion of a talk page comment.

Having an edit summary that accurately reflects all changes is important, because you don't know which of your changes are important to other people. The less important change to you, may be the more important change to someone else.

If you don't want to bother or don't have the space to explain everything you are doing, adding a simple "and misc." easily covers the other change(s). Miss Mondegreen | Talk   10:19, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
