Welcome!

Hello, לילך5, and welcome to Misplaced Pages! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Haim Cohen, may not conform to some of Misplaced Pages's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.

Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Information icon Hello, I'm Praxidicae. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Haim Cohen have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. do not hijack redirects PRAXIDICAE🌈 19:40, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

I did not hijack any redirect! This is the most famous Haim Cohen. Cohen judged ten seasons of MasterChef. He judged MKR. He had several television shows before that, and books. The redirect was to some nobody called Cohn, not Cohen. לילך5 (talk) 19:46, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Hi לילך5! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Haim Cohen several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Haim Cohen, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Storchy (talk) 23:31, 16 July 2022 (UTC)

You are wrong. I did not restore "my preferred" version. I changed a redirect after I created a detailed article. It currently redirects to a spelling mistake.לילך5 (talk) 05:00, 17 July 2022 (UTC)

Yonatan Roshfeld moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Yonatan Roshfeld, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Misplaced Pages). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Misplaced Pages's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. PRAXIDICAE🌈 19:41, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

Why?! He is one of the top chefs in Israel! לילך5 (talk) 19:45, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
The pages you are creating are not appropriate articles yet. You need to provide reliable, independent sources (facebook is not a reliable source) that show significant coverage of the article subject. You need to format them properly. You need to write encyclopedia articles, not just create pages. None of the pages you created today are suitable articles for mainspace. Please work on the drafts and submit them when they are ready to be published. Schazjmd (talk) 19:48, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
You're ganging up on me. In Draft:Rafi Adar I put from Haaretz as a source, how is that not reliable? That's like one of Israel's best newspapers. לילך5 (talk) 19:53, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

She is one of the most famous chefs in Israel. She judged MKR. Now she judges MasterChef's new season. She had the top restaurant in Tel Aviv. לילך5 (talk) 19:47, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

He's one of the best known chefs in Israel, he has a Hebrew Misplaced Pages page, I don't see why you're undoing everything I do. לילך5 (talk) 19:48, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
Because you're doing it wrong. Learn how to write an article correctly and then it can be published to mainspace. Schazjmd (talk) 19:50, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
I don't see anything wrong in my article. It stated the facts. It has a source for the facts. You're just ganging up on me and removing everything. Why can't Misplaced Pages have pages for famous Israeli chefs that appear everyday on TV? לילך5 (talk) 19:51, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
Appearing on TV doesn't make someone notable. You need to cite significant coverage by multiple, independent, reliable sources to support notability. Work on the drafts; if you provide those sources and write a decent draft, they'll be published to mainspace. Schazjmd (talk) 19:58, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
Are you reading the drafts at all? Or just nuking everything I do? STOP FOLLOWING ME! I put Haaretz as a source, that is one of Israel's best newspapers, it has to be reliable. JUST STOP! לילך5 (talk) 20:03, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

Request reason:

It is not me. It is CraigP459, or someone else maybe, impersonating me with the same username and using the exact same edit summary I used last night. Furthermore, while this impersonation was done I was doing other things. The impersonator did six edits on 19 July at 19:28,19:28,19:30,19:34,19:35,19:36. While this was happening, I was doing edits as well: 19:30,19:32,19:36,19:37. How is this possible? Please check your technical logs, and see if לילר5 is CraigP459. Whoever made the לילר5 account was trying to frame me, why would I do something like that?? It's illogical. Please check technical logs and punish the real culprit behind לילר5, it is not me. לילך5 (talk) 20:53, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

Accept reason:

You have been exonerated by CU evidence. Thanks for being understanding during this mistaken block. Enjoy the "battle scar"—I've heard all the coolest editors have them. ;) -- Tamzin (she|they|xe) 23:25, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

@ScottishFinnishRadish: I see why you jumped at this, but whoever was doing this was trying to frame me. Copying my edit summary from last night. Can you check the technical logs? I am sure it is CraigP459 or one of his friends. There would be no reason for me to do something so stupid, it's like marching into Fort Knox holding up a billboard saying "I am a gold thief".לילך5 (talk) 20:56, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
@Verbcatcher: sorry I can't reply on the talk page, I got blocked after a user impersonated me with a username one letter off and used the same edit summaries as me after I reverted them after they were blocked. According to the book, Viscount Cilcennin sent a few resignation letters during 1956, before it was accepted. He finally left on September 1st, and immediately accompanied HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on a world tour. Verbcatcher can you check the technical logs on this site to see that לילר5 is CraigP459?לילך5 (talk) 21:10, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
@Verbcatcher:, Cilcennin also wrote The Duke of Edinburgh's World Tour 1956-1957 Paperback – 1 Jan. 1957 about the tour, it might have something on his resignation.לילך5 (talk) 21:12, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
I am not an admin and I don't have access to any restricted logs. I hope that your unblock request is assessed properly. I doubt that Cilcennin's book on the royal tour would cover his resignation. Regards, Verbcatcher (talk) 21:30, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

@Tamzin: I see you are the expert at Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/Awolf58. Can you please look into לילר5?? They impersonated me. They created a username that's different by one letter from mine and then used the exact same edit summary I used when reverting some of CraigP459's edits last night.לילך5 (talk) 22:03, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

  • This seems plausible. SPI reöpened. Unblock request  On hold pending CU. @Scottywong: Figure I'll ask in advance, if CU doesn't show that לילך5 == 5לילר, any objection to me unblocking? -- Tamzin (she|they|xe) 22:39, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
Tamzin, thank you for looking into Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/לילך5 and Misplaced Pages:Sockpuppet investigations/Awolf58. My user name is my private name, לילך, and I added a 5 because the name without a number was taken and 5 means something to me. לילך is a very popular name in Hebrew and also a flower, lilac in English. לילר, which the impersonator used, is not a word in Hebrew, though Liler in English is written as לילר in Hebrew.לילך5 (talk) 22:43, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
@Tamzin: Sure, if CU shows no link between the accounts, I'm ok with unblocking this one. Thanks for reopening the SPI. —ScottyWong— 22:45, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

I want to say thank you everybody, Scottywong, RoySmith, Blablubbs, and most of all Tamzin for quickly sorting out this impersonation job!לילך5 (talk) 03:27, 20 July 2022 (UTC)

@Tamzin: December 2012 must have been a tumultuous time... —ScottyWong— 14:21, 20 July 2022 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Misplaced Pages, as you did at Jesus, you may be blocked from editing. Please discuss before making changes to that article's lead. Thank you. Bettering the Wiki (talk) 08:04, 23 July 2022 (UTC)

Deepest apologies

Sorry about the misunderstanding, I knew the whole thing seemed squirrelly, and I apologize for jumping the gun. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 23:26, 19 July 2022 (UTC)

@ScottishFinnishRadish: I totally understand. The way לילר5 was setup it was just screaming it was a puppet and the sign it was holding up was totally pointing at me.לילך5 (talk) 03:30, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
Thanks for understand, and my apologies for blocking you in error. Unfortunately, in the never-ending war against people who seemingly derive pleasure from disrupting Misplaced Pages, there are occasionally some innocent casualties. Thankfully, the block only affected your account for a relatively short time. —ScottyWong— 14:19, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
The use of לילר5 was devious, for someone reading Hebrew ר and ך are totally different, but looking at it as a glyph I can see how they really look almost the same. Thank you so much for helping resolving this quickly. לילך5 (talk) 19:31, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
It was a violation of Misplaced Pages policy, see WP:Signature forgery. Verbcatcher (talk) 19:36, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
In Hebrew school as a kid, the similarity between ו ,ך ,ד ,ר and ז always annoyed the heck out of me. Glad I learned the difference in time to help out here. :) -- Tamzin (she|they|xe) 21:42, 20 July 2022 (UTC)

Your signature

Hi, I am pleased to see that the blocking incident has been resolved, exonerating you. It would help the linguistically-challenged among us if you presented your signature in Latin characters, see Misplaced Pages:Signatures#Non-Latin usernames and Misplaced Pages:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. This would not change your actual user name, and it would not affect Hebrew Misplaced Pages. This is only a suggestion, you are under no obligation to do this. Regards, Verbcatcher (talk) 16:28, 20 July 2022 (UTC)

Verbcatcher, is this OK?---Lilach5 (לילך5) discuss 19:38, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
It looks fine, thank you. Verbcatcher (talk) 22:42, 20 July 2022 (UTC)

Citing non-English sources

I see some of the articles you've created use a lot of sources in Hebrew. For example Yonatan Roshfeld. That's fine, please see WP:LANGCITE for some suggestions. -- RoySmith (talk) 12:49, 21 July 2022 (UTC)

It also helps if you wikilink the source publications, where there is an English Misplaced Pages article. I see that you have sometimes done this. This helps non-Hebrew readers to access the reliability of the sources. I don't read Hebrew, but I would assess Haaretz as more reliable than Mako (website). Verbcatcher (talk) 19:28, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
I do link usually, though Mako doesn't have a dedicated page. Mako is an important source, it the written website of Israel's main TV channel which is channel 12. Some, but not all, of the content there is from News 12 including the magazine segments on the news. It is a bit like the website of NBC. The written text also very often has the aired segment as well. I'm still struggling a bit with the citation conventions, here and on the Hebrew Misplaced Pages.---Lilach5 (לילך5) discuss 06:34, 23 July 2022 (UTC)
