help with editing page of someone I know
Hi there! Thanks for your message. I would appreciate your help. Someone keeps including information about an assault charge that my partner's brother, Doug Haines, got many years ago. He fulfilled the requirements of the court and the charge is no longer on his record. Why can't I delete it from his page? He does not hold public office, and he didn't when the charge occurred, either. MBKramer (talk) 18:03, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- @MBKramer: It was while he was a candidate for public office, so it is relevant to the article, even though he wasn't the incumbent at the time of the incident. As for expungement of the charge from his record, there is no reliable source stating that happened; there are reliable sources stating he was sentenced in a plea deal. —C.Fred (talk) 18:21, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- It was after the election, so he wasn't technically a candidate. It was 18 years ago, and he has had zero incidents since. It is not on his record (not sure how to verify that, but I can find out). What purpose does its inclusion serve? MBKramer (talk) 21:23, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
- Also - thank you very much for engaging in this conversation with me. MBKramer (talk) 21:24, 27 July 2022 (UTC)
Marvel
Please do not change the marvel shows from spring summer and fall to early mid and late Mr ezzat1234 (talk) 13:55, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Mr ezzat1234: The problem is lack of clarity. When you say "spring", which spring do you mean? "Early 2023" is clear; "Spring 2023" could be as late as December 2023. —C.Fred (talk) 13:57, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
Early 2023 is from January and April Spring 2023 is from 21 March to 21 June People will think the show might launch in January or February like that And also December 2023 is winter not spring Mr ezzat1234 (talk) 14:00, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Mr ezzat1234: December 2023 is the end of spring and the start of summer, for Australians, South Africans, Argentines, and others in the Southern Hemisphere. —C.Fred (talk) 14:01, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
Spring from March 21 to June 21 Fall from September 22 to December 21 Winter from 22 December to 21 March Summer from 21 June to 23 September Mr ezzat1234 (talk) 14:02, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Mr ezzat1234: Only in the Northern Hemisphere. Please review the note right next to the text you keep changing, unless you want to be blocked for persistent violation of the Manual of Style and violating the three-revert rule, which you have already broken. —C.Fred (talk) 14:03, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
People will have trouble between early and spring fall and late and summer and mid Mr ezzat1234 (talk) 14:03, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Mr ezzat1234: As is noted at the MOS, "spring" causes far more trouble. —C.Fred (talk) 14:04, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
Ok I apologize I was using the northern hemisphere one I forgot about the Southern Hemisphere Mr ezzat1234 (talk) 14:06, 24 July 2022 (UTC)
Btw the didn’t refresh the page so didn’t read your new message Mr ezzat1234 (talk) 14:07, 24 July 2022 (UTC)

User talk:220.236.117.40
I endorse a CBAN, please. They are at UTRS appeal #61307 now. The IDNHT, The intent to do what they want when they want. They are not compatible. They filed the UTRS after your little chat. Deepfriedokra (talk) 15:30, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Deepfriedokra: I may not get that put together until tomorrow, but I know I've done three blocks on IPs on the user. They're probably de facto banned, but it may not hurt to have discussion for a community ban. —C.Fred (talk) 16:00, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, de facto CBAN works. The evasion and the three prior UTRS declines, all rolled into current UTRS. Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:02, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
There is currently a discussion over a topic ban for me, and you might wish to participate

Anthony Foster
I kindly ask you to restore my page. You have no right to delete it - open a discussion instead - you can't censor information here. Simon Dahman (talk) 22:36, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Simon Dahman: I will merge it into the already existing draft, but it is not ready for the main encyclopedia. —C.Fred (talk) 22:37, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- If you're biased then please don't edit - a simple rule. The page you blindly deleted was cited with BBC, ABC, SMH in-depth articles. Simon Dahman (talk) 22:40, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Simon Dahman: None of which indicated that Foster was significant or important. —C.Fred (talk) 22:40, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- Please restore the page or I have to report you. You are trying to be a dictator here. Simon Dahman (talk) 22:43, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Simon Dahman: It is restored at Draft:Anthony Foster (activist). You may work on the draft there. —C.Fred (talk) 22:46, 29 July 2022 (UTC)

Rollback on Club World Cup
Hi, You reverted my edit on the Future FIFA Club World Cup (China). There was no summary or explanation, but it's apparent that it was under "rollback", which is supposed to be used for vandalism and where it's abundantly clear why it's removed. Why did you do this? As I mentioned in my edit - which was summarised - Chelsea being defending champions is irrelevant to that competition. Rambo Apocalypse (talk) 13:44, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- @Rambo Apocalypse: The edit summary is the problem: "they're certain to lose the title this season" smacks of WP:CRYSTAL, which made the edit appear bad faith. That said, I don't see where other football/soccer competitions have defending champions listed; had the edit summary said you were removing it for consistency with other competition articles, it would have been fine. —C.Fred (talk) 16:25, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Isn't there something in the Misplaced Pages rules about how you're supposed to assume good faith? Have they got rid of that rule or does it just not apply to you?
- Football articles frequently include the defending champions. The reason for my summary was that they didn't win the UEFA Champions League. Under the format they've used in every edition of the competition they will not qualify and thus cannot defend the title.
- Admittedly the format is somewhat up in the air at the moment, so the edit summary overstated the certainty of it but they still shouldn't be on there as defending champions if they may not be able to defend it. Perhaps one could include that they're the current champions.Rambo Apocalypse (talk) 17:39, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
