Pox parties
I'm not an authority, but there are a few things that concern me regarding the transmissions of viruses. Where I'm from in Australia, it's not unheard of for people to advocate the spreading of diseases. Here's an example in the Journal of Medical Ethics, which unfortunately suggests it's a positive, rather than a threat to everyone else.

I would like to include, in the article, the following advice:
""Additionally, in the United States, deliberately sending infectious matter through the U.S. Postal Service is illegal.""
I would also think it's appropriate to public condemn any belief that spreading diseases is acceptable, especially that Covid is such a fatal and harmful disease, we don't need any others. And the people suffering from monkeypox wouldn't want others catching it.

Discussing the difference in total cases according to CDC.
According to the CDC's total cases here, it's listed as 113 as of now, but when you add all of the cases state by state together, it's 111 total cases. In the table listing cases state by state, I'm going to put 113 as the total just to be safe instead of 111. I do not know where the extra two cases are, probably in Puerto Rico or the American Somoa.
If the difference between total cases as what they list and what is actually appearing by adding all of the cases in states together continues, what do we do? --Peralien (talk) 16:47, 18 June 2022 (UTC)
New Hampshire
Add New Hampshire to the state's with confirmed cases. (WGME 13) 2601:186:4500:83A0:CC76:43AA:ABA2:8D06 (talk) 22:02, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
Anyone want to help?
I want to write this page in Spanish and Portuguese for those in the United States that can't access medical treatment same as everyone else.
Any volunteer, it might take us an hour?
Thanks in advance, thanks for reading, have a nice day. 49.184.21.68 (talk) 09:01, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
CDC is presenting all of its invaluable experience in Español (Spanish) on their website, when the Misplaced Pages article pages get created, even if they are empty, I'll copy-paste the information.
I'm going to add the link to this page in the interim.
I hope you are all keeping safe, and doing well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.185.39.117 (talk) 19:02, 18 July 2022 (UTC)
Wrong first case?
This article says the first case was in Boston on May 19, 2022. But this article says it was in Dallas on July 9, 2021 (diagnosed July 13). I get that the bigger news angle started with the British case this May, but is that reason enough to discount the possibility that America's lowkey spread started earlier? Formal request has been received to merge: 2022 monkeypox outbreak in Florida into 2022 monkeypox outbreak in the United States; dated: August 2022. Proposer's Rationale: the Florida-specific article copies the majority of the information from other monkeypox articles. I think that the Florida-specific information could be added as a new section in the US article, but I don't know that it needs to be its own separate article specific to Florida, at least for now. - Support, I don't see a reason for a separate article for Florida at this point in time. Hey man im josh (talk) 17:24, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support per above. BattleshipMan (talk) 21:21, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support I think making sections for all states are better before making a article for all. 73.126.133.15 (talk) 23:07, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support per above. Redstilledits (talk) 01:28, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support I think making sections for all states are better before making a article for all. 73.126.133.15 (talk) 23:07, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support per above. In the end, there will probably be an article for each state (similar to how the COVID-19 articles are laid out), but at the moment, the current article does not have enough information to support a stand-alone article. Elijahandskip (talk) 23:09, 4 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support per above. I think we will get articles for every state down the road, but there is just simply not enough information that relates specifically to Florida to warrant its own article at this time. aaronneallucas (talk) 05:01, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support I strongly support the above. Rebel 17:11, 6 August 2022 (UTC)
- I get it you want to make a section for all the states. but I feel like 2022 monkeypox outbreak in Florida is notable enough. for example
- alredy have there own articles why not Florida? Cabin134 (talk) 00:16, 9 August 2022 (UTC)
