Jedi Apprentice
I agree. Jedi Apprentice is my favorite Star Wars series (I read it in sixth and seventh grade), and while I feel that the books merit their own articles and plot summaries, there is no excuse for copyvios. I'll take a look at them in a second, and I do agree that the info should be scrapped and rebuilt.
Also, are you interested in joining a Star Wars wikiproject? The project will focus on cleaning, merging, and so on. If you are interested, youc an see Misplaced Pages:Wikiproject/List of proposed projects. Thanks! Deckiller 23:22, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- I finished merging JA to SWJA, although I think we may want to move the page to Star Wars: Jedi Apprentice. Agreed? Deckiller 23:29, 8 February 2006 (UTC)
- Also, do you agree that a little template for the series would be a nice way to maintain organization? Deckiller 23:30, 8 February 2006 (UTC)

Clay Aiken Reversion
I saw that it was an accident, no problem. :) I posted this on the talk page there, but I didn't see how it could be any shorter while still retaining semblence of the story. If you want to edit it go ahead; I'm not against it being edited, I'm just weirded out at how this sortof thing gets violently deleted and screamed at. ;) Thanks! - mixvio 23:49, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- I'm really not okay with things being deleted on talk pages. It's my understanding according to the ToS that that's vandalism. I can understand not wanting that line under the "official" response but then it should've been moved out to the bottom of the page. I don't think deleting anything, unsourced speculation or not, is appropriate from talk pages. - mixvio 13:35, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- No, I agree, the contribution was meaningless bullshit, but I have an issue when stuff starts getting deleted off of talk pages whether it's dribble or not; it really makes me nervous. And it's the sortof bullying tactic I've seen employed by the other people involved in this particular powerstruggle; that's why I talked to you first, if it had been one of them who deleted it I would've just reverted it without asking. :) - mixvio 14:28, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Transmission Disambig
Fixed X-ray nanoprobe...transmittance is appropriate. Left Latin verbs pointing to the disambig. Since it's talking about words derived from the Latin, I think that's appropriate. Fixed one link you may have missed, and moved to done. Nice job on the heavy lifting...I just did the cleanup. ;-) --MikeJ9919 09:21, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Re: Four
I completely apologise, I didn't intend to seem as if I was lumping you in with them in the least. I think you're the only reasonable person involved in the discussion, period, and I commend your consistent attempts at a resolution. The four I meant were Jmh, Maria, the IP address 6, and Michigan user. I can easily see that you're trying and I didn't mean my comments to be directed at you in the slightest. - mixvio 22:41, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

82ASK
Hi Arglebargle IV
I'm fairly new to editing Misplaced Pages pages, so am a bit confused as to why my changes to the 82ASK entry keep on getting blocked. I basically work on behalf of 82ASK and have been tasked with updating company information to Misplaced Pages. I have followed all NPOV guidelines and have not included anything salesy.
So please, please, please, reconsider my changes.
Thanks

3RR Warning for Idol series
Why don't you believe the information i'm editing in the article? Honestly its like i'm vandalising it or something, Pabs is NOT putting the right information not to mention simplifying it to the point that it becomes misinformation. I watch over 30 Idol shows from different nations so I do know what I am talking about (and I did admin http://www.idolonline.org) Please let my revisions stand.ZlatkoT 01:22, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sure, as long as the corrected information I put remains, the reason I put Buryatia is not so much for it's political status, but because it was only included in season 3 much like UA & BY was only included in season 2, but I can live if that is omitted I'll just write it into the article since it's not wanted in the main page.ZlatkoT 02:05, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Are my correct edits going to be inserted anytime in the future? I am so sick of Pabs highly irrational & misinformed individual.ZlatkoT 03:13, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
Speedy tags
If an author blanks a page, especially after someone has tagged it for deletion, it's basically interpreted as a "go ahead and delete it". Replace the blank page with a db-empty tag and mark the edit history as "blanked by author". Fan-1967 04:17, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

It looked kind of silly using a singles table layout for an album list so I took it out of the page. I would think that an albums layout will be more appropriate. Or wait until November when we will have more info. Arual 23:18, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

2006 Women's Hockey World Cup Qualifier
Yes, i'm still in the middle of changing the article, thanks for care. This article is really can't cleanup in one day. --Aleenf1 23:59, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- is done, but i hide the squads, and if can please create in new page with more lovely alignment --Aleenf1 11:11, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'm just want to standardize all the Hockey World Cup article, can you please do not put back cross table? Is not necessary after all results is listed. --Aleenf1 05:06, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
- What you mean by "previous", i hope you can describe and let me to consider your decision. Thank you --Aleenf1 16:53, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
- Honestly, i totally dislike the croostable, it didn't show the tidyness of an article and i think the viewer(s) would view the results details. About the format, i really thinking about to reformatting all of field hockey article, but some obstacle stop me to do other than World Cup, you also can reformatted. About team listings, you did a very good job and thanks. But i think the good way is like 2006 Women's Hockey World Cup squads, where i'm just created template, and you can expand too. But i admit you way is a bit alternative, maybe can use in qualifier article. Thank you. --Aleenf1 10:06, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- OK, do your best with all your response. Without crosstable. But can you use this template for playoff bracket: {{Round4-with third}}. I feel this template is more suitable, just put this on beginning
{{Round4-with third|RD1=Classification round|RD2=Fifth place|Consol=Seventh place
- And what article you might reformatting? I just wonder. Can you helpme to create a new article? Simply i just want to clear some free air to focus on other article. If you nod, i might give you the source and you can perform. And sorry for give you a hard day. --Aleenf1 04:41, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Are you not mind to create men's hockey WC article? Because i just saw you around women's one and i'm not sure you would like to create a men one. Just tell me, no problem. --Aleenf1 09:00, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
world series
Hey Man, I hope this message reaches you because I'm new in wikipedia.
Ok, I'm trying to put this info right up there on the major league:
Despite being the "world" series only teams from USA or Canada can participate.
I'm pretty sure this might seems like an old debate (and a boring one at that) for all Americans. Well, I'm not American and it took me some time to uderstand that the final game in baseball was called World Series and that it had nothing to do with the rest of the world. It might sound funny or dumb but I thought it was another championship alltogether where worldwide teams competed. I know I'm not the first or last to fall into this misunderstanding.
It's quite a confusing labelling and I'm positive it's some information that should be clarified immediately on an informative tool such as wikipedia, which is not only for Americans. My point again: if you're trying to understand what this "world series" is about it might come handy to know RIGHT AWAY IN THE ARTICLE that it regards only American teams.
I also don't understand what part you find so offensive or wrong, it's useful info and I don't think somebody trying to understand more about this game should be pointed to the talk page because "it has been debated in there already". I know I would like to see it right there at the beginning to clarify that it is indeed not a "World" series. What's the harm in seeing it right there? Is it in any way wrong info? Or is it offensive to clarify it?
Thanks, I'll post it again, I'm not sure how this should work or if there should be a voting of some sort or what, it seems a waste to edit info in an article and then see it deleted because "somebody talked about this already on ANOTHER page". -- Barbabarba 10/4/2006
- The above user insists on re-inserting that stuff about the World Series being "limited to US and Canada", which is partially redundant and technically NOT TRUE. I continue to refer him to the talk page, but he won't answer the point I make there, he just keeps reverting to his version. Wahkeenah 02:09, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Regarding Vanessa Gleason
Please do not edit my edit when you do not know the facts.
I was a school mate of Vanessa since she was in 5th grade. After highschool graduation, her parents brought her implants and she started doing Hawaiian Tropics contests. Everyone in highschool knows she got the implants...
And she's not a D cup, shes's a C cup. Even her playboy stats list her as a C cup... unless she recently got a revision.
Now, if you must edit the page again I will dispute it unless you give me reason why you believe she's natural? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125mph (talk • contribs)
Then what happens if the original author of the article put she has DDD cup breasts.. No one can change the information so that it is correct without validating the proof, which is imposible unless you walk up to her in the streets and ask to measure her breast? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125mph (talk • contribs)

Junior hockey template
My problem with building a template for ever team is that there is not enough variable from team to team if I need it... like southern ontario junior b team sometimes have parent and farm clubs... If the team has folded or gone on hiatus... then there is a problem with setting up years of operation on it... also... if the logo has a crappy bitrate... then I have to variate size... I've used the ones for the Canadian Hockey League in the past... and other leagues too... but I often have not found the right fit. DMighton 16:05, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- Alright... here are a few example of the many different leagues and issues I got here lol... Owen Sound Greys, Aguasabon River Rats, Bramalea Blues, St. Michael's Buzzers. These are just some of the variety... a cross section... ummm... here is the template used in the Canadian Hockey League... I've had problems with it in the past: Sarnia Sting. DMighton 16:17, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- If I may interject to save you both some work, Template:CHL team already has the necessary fields, and optional parameters. It could be tweaked if you need anything else. Flibirigit 17:14, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- Please see User talk:Flibirigit.Thanks. Flibirigit 19:08, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- Ok... so I see you and FLib got talking... what did you guys cook up? I must say... I'm getting interested in the potential of this. DMighton 19:37, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
- I have moved the discussion of this template from User talk:Flibirigit to Template talk:Hockey team, so that others may join in. Flibirigit 17:19, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
More help
Would it be possible to make the team logo be optional? I haven't figure out how to do that. I'd like to use this template for older hockey teams that have no available logos. Flibirigit 06:13, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- I figured out how to do the optional logo, and I've even added an optional box for franchise history. But I am having a problem going beyond "four franchise names." I don't know why. I'd like to go up to ten, to cover teams who move around alot. Flibirigit 09:31, 20 November 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks again! Flibirigit 23

Editorialized Edit to Jessica Simpson
I reverted your edit to Jessica Simpson, in which you correctly removed some unnecessary critical quotes but added your own thoughts with "The movie failed to impress most critics." The reference is uncited and doesn't really add anything to the article other than your own impression of what general critical response was. I obviously don't think you intended harm, which is why I wanted to let you know I did the reversion. Let me know if you disagree! Thanks. Ginsengbomb 16:57, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

ArglebargleIV - how DARE you accuse me of spamming
This is the ridiculous message you posted to me:
Yes, this was blatant vandalism -- spamming the same unsourced paragraph (about a possible relaunch of Pop Idol) across at least 21 articles, all of which it doesn't belong in. The articles are :
Deutschland sucht den SuperStar
American Idol
Australian Idol
Philippine Idol
Simon Fuller
Idol series
World Idol
Nouvelle Star
The X Factor (TV series)
Five (TV)
Sky One
ITV
Love Island
ITV1
Ant & Dec
Simon Cowell
List of UK television series
British television
19 Entertainment
Idol (Norway)
FremantleMedia
YES the paragraph IS relevant to ALL of the articles that i posted it on. I didnt edit it each time i posted it as there was NO NEED to because it was all about the same thing.
I will now show you why i posted them:
Deutschland sucht den SuperStar - POP IDOL is the parent of this show.
American Idol - POP IDOL is the parent of this show, and it's creators own it.
Australian Idol - POP IDOL is again the parent of this show.
Philippine Idol - POP IDOL is the inspiration for this show.
Simon Fuller - OWNS pop idol, the article even menions him.
Idol series - the whole series spawns from POP IDOL.
World Idol - hosted at the POP IDOL stage with the POP IDOL presenters.
Nouvelle Star - POP IDOL is the inspiration for this show.
The X Factor (TV series) - Rival to POP IDOL. X FACTOR is mentioned in the article. Simon cowell stars in both shows. ITV produced both shows.
Five (TV) - DIRECTLY related to the relaunch as POP IDOL is rumoured to being launched on this channel. also mentioned in the article.
Sky One - DIRECTLY related to the relaunch as POP IDOL is rumoured to being launched on this channel. also mentioned in the article.
ITV - directly mentioned in the article. the original PRODUCER of POP IDOL.
Love Island - POP IDOL is rumoured to replace Love Island on ITV. it is mentioned in the article.
ITV1 - the channel that POP IDOL was broadcast on.
Ant & Dec - the presenters of pop idol. they are mentioned in the article.
Simon Cowell - was a judge on POP IDOL. he is directly mentioned in the article.
List of UK television series - POP IDOL is a UK television series.
British television - POP IDOL is produced for British Television.
19 Entertainment - company owner of POP IDOL.
Idol (Norway) - spin off of POP IDOL.
FremantleMedia - Owns POP IDOL.
So next time ArglebargleIV get your facts straight. This is NOT spam, it is relevant to ALL the articles it was posted on. How dare you accuse me of something i didnt do. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scproductions (talk • contribs)

Monta Vista Article
How is removing an uncited "Lynbrook is doing better academically and atheletically" considered a NPOV viotlation from you? Clearly you are a Lynbrook alum but have the good sense to cite something like that, it is not exactly relavent to the article but if you insist on putting it in, something like that MUST be cited.
To copy and paste what I left on the site itself:
[Okay, ArglebargleIV, so you tag me with a NPOV for taking out the quote "(Lynbrook is doing better in athletics and academics) ". I will keep on deleting that until you can prove it. Far from being NPOV, your comment is totally biased especially since you have no reference. Prove it and I will let it go, but your shameless warning of me (you even spelt it wrong!) was too much.
To add, the rankings conclude that MVHS is higher than Lynbrook, according to the API numbers. I am completely annoyed that you would deem removing such a stupid sentence as an NPOV violation when it is clear that the only one with a NPOV violation is you, ArglebargleIV. And warning is not spelled "warniong." Anyway like I said if you want to add something like that, it is only proper you cite it or show why your ala mater Lynbrook HS is doing better in athletics and academics. Frankly I don't even see how that is relevent to the article at all.] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.54.219.84 (talk • contribs)

I looked over your edit history after posting this and realized you were a good wiki-editor, and was confused why you would tag me with NPOV violation for removing that stupid line, and I figured you must have made a mistake somewhere. So yeah that turned out to be the case :). Anyway sorry for the harsh words, but I am sure you could imagine my annoyance for getting rid of that dumb line and having it reverted back, and then on top of that getting a npov violation warning :-p.

Gravitor/Carfiend
These two users appear to be separate actual users, but joined at the hip. Their behavior patterns are similar. We went through this with them last summer, and they seemed to go away in September, but they recently resurfaced, again totally focused on this one subject. In my opinion he/they are basically "trolls", or at least they exhibit "excessive" trolling behavior. They are good at starting edit wars and refusing to discuss things, then turning around and accusing everyone else of what they are guilty of. They are very good at pulling others into their game. I got sucked into it last summer, but I've tried to stay on the periphery of it this time and just watch the circus. Wahkeenah 03:22, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- They do seem to be team editing and are thoroughly invested in the double standard. In particular Carfiend's edits (and their timing) during these past few weeks seem to be tactical appendages. I also notice, as Wahkeenah noted, that they seem to co-opt effective arguments and try to use them as their own - usually though, IMHO, they lack the ethical and authetically rational grounds that make those arguments effective and are left with mere choreography and unmoored rationales. I hesitate to say much more, as little pitchers have big ears and I'm sick of reading mockumentary versions of arguments and insights I hold as valid. By way of complete disclosure I initiated a RFC on Carfiend last summer as a result of the incidences that Wahkeenah desribes. The behavior which prompted the RFC is still apparent. - You can say that again. The pattern is the same, except that this time it's Gravitor that's more the aggressor. The RFC on Carfiend died on the vine when the both of them disappeared in mid-September... apparently, waiting for the heat to die down so they could start their game again. - I was just having a discussion with User:Lunokhod, who is talking about doing an RFC on the content dispute. I think that's actually a "request for mediation", and that RFC's are about users, but I could be wrong. Meanwhile, some memories came back as I was telling him about the RFC and the request for mediation that both died when those guys disappeared in September... specifically, about the ridiculous debate over the "rendezvous" definition. Remember that? Anyway, once Carfiend was shown up by the facts, he went away, and took Gravitor (and some other red-link users with similar M.O.s) with him. For awhile. - Looks like Gravitor managed to suck Numskll into a set of 3-revert-violations, and they have both been blocked for 24 hourse, by separate admins. My guess is that they each went to separate admins to complain about the other. Such a to-do. Wahkeenah 21:02, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Your 3RR warning
Thanks. This is me trying to take your advice. I apologize for the inconvenience. The issue of content vs authority is so maddening though - especially given wholely user defined (and collaborative) topics and the range of motives at play. I'm working on more effective rhetorical strategems . . . I'll try (without actually promising) not to always be such a pain. Numskll 03:49, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Your efforts on Independent evidence
I appreciate your efforts to make progress on this page, and am trying to assume your good faith, but so far the process has resulted in a total revert on the issues without any rational justification on the talk page. Please take a look at my concerns, Thanks, Gravitor 17:03, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- 1. Not one piece of evidence on the page is presented by "proponents of the theory that the Moon landings did not happen). None of the sources that the evidence come from have anything to do with the hoax.
- 2. Not one piece of evidence on the page was collected as a rebuttal to the hoax. In fact, nearly all of it (perhaps all) was collected before the hoax accusations were even made. To present this as part of a back-and-forth between the hoax proponents and landing defenders is a gross misrepresentation.
- 3. The people who collected this evidence are independent observatories and amateur astronomers. They collected it for their own reasons, certainly not as part of the hoax discussion.
- 4 The discussions on Misplaced Pages that produced this page are not a good reason to structure the information.
- Did you manage to take a look at this? Thanks, Gravitor 16:01, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

In the Watergate era, the expression "Expletive deleted" was a hot catchphrase for awhile. It's still good. :) Wahkeenah 04:00, 19 February 2007 (UTC)"> ">
Darn, I should have used that! And I was even around then (although still in elementary school), I should have remembered it. Oh well. :-) -- ArglebargleIV 04:05, 19 February 2007 (UTC)"> ">
Empress Xiao De Xian
Yes i know what u mean whit the ID thing about her. But i was actually sure that is was her. In the book there is no source to that bit of text. Sterling Seagrave wrote that there was an ancestor painting of Empress Xiao Zhen Xian. He also wrote how the painting looks like and by that i thought it was actually Empress Xiao De Xian. He says that she had a pointy chin and a dreamly look and if u look closely to the painting "i have got a much bigger and better version of it" u can see what i mean. But sometime it's very difficult to give reference cause a lot of chinese history is based on rumours. But anyway we can discuss about it:). (Read the book it's very good. ) It's called the Dragon Lady by Sterling Seagrave ISBN 0-679-40230-6
But one thing is sure, There is no ancestor painting of Empress Xiao Zhen Xian so it must be someone else.
Read before you call some a vandal
Hey Jackass, John Renold Aufenstein was cited. It was erased because someone put an offensive name, calling him gay. Instead of reverting, they deleted the name
You see the little 1 in brackets?
ITS A CITATION.
Try clicking on it and seeing the reference next time.
Thank you.

Oh, wow. I'm glad you could spend your time on worrying about c's page, even enough to ask a reference who submitted it, and if someone disagrees with you, which seems to be quite a few people, you could always call them vandals. Nothing like threating an anonymous user with a non-static ip (or dynamic... it changes whenever they log out).
Sorry if you failed your book report on Ryan Seacrest because someone cited another website and reveled that Seacrest's name was actually ethnic. Now what will America do if they found out.
Maybe you're right, we should cover it up and erases any traces of it. What will we do if he says "Aufenstein, out"
Pandemonium, I tell you.
But then again, someone will always know and make elaborate clues to get to the truth and Dan Brown will write a novel about it. I think he'll go for The Arglebargle Code or Arglebargles and Dynamic63.136.116.166s

Wow, it took a whole two seconds to think up what i wrote, but i guess 2 seconds of thinking is just plain unhealthy.
It seems to me that most vandalism on seacrest is about his sexual orientation...
I guess someone decided to go to IMDb and make up a name, solely to place it on here...
A name that sounds Jewish...
We'll I see how calling him gay with John Dicksuck Fagenstein and an ethnic name with no gay name calling are alike. Gay, Jewish... same thing, right?

Sorry about the reversion
I got a little carried away. Normally I would only revert a user page, not a user's talk page. Feel free to delete this, though. :) Wahkeenah 04:12, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
