It is the only Roman Catholic high school in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The school opened in 1967 and is named for Monsignor Thomas J. Quigley, who was superintendent of schools for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh until his death in 1960. The athletic teams are known as the "Spartans". It has well-known and nationally recongnized Forensic and Mock Trial teams, headed by Timothy Waxenfelter. the Mock Trial team was national runner-up for the year 2002. It has been named one of the Top 50 Catholic Schools in America for the third year in the row. Quigley girls athletics have done extremely well this year. The girls' soccer team won the WPIAL title, with a 17-0 record, and the girls' basketball team won the section 1A title, with a record of 15-0. As we move into softball season, we wish the best of luck to the Lady Spartans, and wait for thier section title. OH yeah... and boys baseball sucks!!! GO LADY SPARTANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
