She is memorable in the Canadian horror movie Black Christmas (1974) directed by Bob Clark. Hussey also played Mary, the mother of Jesus in the 1977 television mini-series Jesus of Nazareth, also a Zeffirelli film. Hailed everywhere as a rare natural beauty, she reportedly wore next to no makeup. Olivia Hussey is born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is the daughter of Andreas Osuna, famous Argentine opera and tango singer. Her mother is British. She moved to England when she was seven and attended Drama Schools. Her greatest breakthrough was been chosen amongst hundreds of other contestants to the role of Juliet in Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet.
Ms. Hussey was married to actor Dean Paul Martin from 1971 to 1978.
