Punjabi Shaikh and Pakistani Sheikh or Shaikh (Template:Lang-pa) are a branch of the Shaikhs in South Asia. In Punjab,sindh the title shaikh was given to the people who came from Arab to South Asia, and they are rich, royal and wealthy people and they are the grand childrens of Arab tribe Bani yas which is originally from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates .

The Shaikh caste are originally rich and royal and can be found in the karachi, Chiniot, Hyderabad, Faislabad and Rawalpindi District regions of Punjab and sindh. However, in recent years, they are involved in business and trade. The Shaikh tribe are a wealthy and have a huge population in the Punjab. Notable people include Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad,a Pakistani politician and a businessman, Sheikh Muhammad Moiz Ahmed a computer scientist from Karachi pakistan.
