accusations
What are you accusing me of? A troll(or more correctly a sock/meatpuppet) starts destoying the work of 3 descent editors and you accuse me.If you dont like my edits then we should get a neutral admin to deal with this.I was enraged by the comments you made on the Pakistan discussion page.If you don't like my style of editing then, let's ask a neutral party to intervine.
Blocking every single user you disagree with will only bring more attention to this issue in my opinion.Nadirali نادرالی
It is incivil of you to accuse me so randomly and without basing your accusations on any evidence. Please see wikipedia no personal attacks policy.Comment on my edits not on my ethnicity or personality.Nadirali نادرالی
Re:Arbcom
We are ready to deal with this.I must ask Fowler and Islescape as witnesses to this.I have evidence not just against you,but the others as well.I feel you made the right decision as this is the only way to resolve this. I am leaving now.I must go for lunch.--Nadirali نادرالی
I have posted my statement.Let's see what you have to throw at us.--Nadirali نادرالی
my alleged attack on Muhajirs
How can you accuse me of attacking Muhajirs when I AM a Muhajir from my father's side.My father is a Muhajir of Azerbaijani ancestry from his mother's side.Therefor he is of Azerbaijani descent born in what is today india. I still stand by my claims that I dislike their mentality of being too conservitive.I once had a Greek tutor who would repeatidly attack his people because he felt they were too arrogant.Does that make him an "anti-Greek".
If you think my comments were attacking Muhajirs, then atleast you can call me a "self-hating Muhajir" rather than an "anti-Muhajir" which is quite ridiculous and somewhat quite laughable :-)--Nadirali نادرالی
Who said I cared about DaGizza's background? If you're reffering to the comment I made on the history of India talkpage,he asked me to post if I regarded him as Pakistani or not and even posted on my talkpage to make sure I'd see his question on the talkpage.
As for my comments regarding the Muhajirs,I commented on the typical Muhajir mentality and the recent terrorism commited by the MQM.And I still stand on my claim the aticle is biased which is why I put the NPOV check on it. It's called commenting on content, not contributers
The reason why we're at arbcom is not because we're disrupting you're agenda.I really don't think we'd be there at this moment if you had not seen Unre4L and I pointing out your abuse of wikipedia as an admin.
Also stop telling me about "giving around my background".I did that for a reason to rebuff your silly accusions about "attacking Muhajirs".--Nadirali نادرالی
Really? Then is it a coincidence that the case was opened roughly 16 minitues after my complaint of your conduct and that 3 users (Unre4L,Fowler and I) agree on that factor.
Tell me does criticising people for being too religious attacking anyone's religion? The only "evidence" you seem to have is words by us twisted to suit your alligations.
I've seen many of the comments you've made to Unre4L and Szhaider as well as Fowler and I find them nowhere close to civility.I really think you should apologise to them. You've apologised to Fowler, but not Unre4L or Szhaider. Now if you'll excuse me there's some articles I'd like to work on.--Nadirali نادرالی
Pakistani civilization
I wrote the article.Don't chase Unre4L,I wrote it.
I don't see who it's hurting as it's an important part of our history.--Nadirali نادرالی
Misplaced Pages Weekly Podcast - interview?
Hey there Nirav, I'm a panelist on Misplaced Pages Weekly the weekly wikipedia podcast. You may have heard of us. Anyway, we're starting a new segment where we will try and interview interesting users/projects to feature some of the different aspects of WP. I was hoping we would be able to talk to you. Maybe a 5 minute piece on who you are, the indian project on WP (especially in the light of the recent meeting in Chennai) and the role of history in WP (in the light of the recent arb-com dispute). We record using Skype (so you would need that programme, a microphone and a a broadband connection to participate) and can prerecord the interview at pretty much any time that is convenient for you. Tell me what you think, Witty lama 20:02, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- I took up your advice and invited Ragib to join too. In fact, I suggested to him that you do the interview together - two heads are better than one! What do you think? Would you be able to coordinate a time which was mutually convenient? Witty lama 07:04, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
- OK, great! I am free pretty much all weekend, so whatever time is convenient for you two on Friday, Saturday or Sunday (except saturday night UTC). Assuming it is ok with you two - I propose Saturday morning at 11am UTC. Please confirm. Witty lama 01:28, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Regarding setting it up on skype, all you need is a skype account, broadband internet and a microphone. I should be able to record from my end no problems. What time is 3pm EST in UTC?? My Skype account name is "wittylama", just add me as a contact. Witty lama 01:48, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Could we go with 10am EST, which by your calculations would be 4pm in Sweden (+1 UTC)? What's your respective Skype account names? Witty lama 02:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Great, In the mean time I'll go to bed. it being 4am and all.... Talk to you soon. Witty lama 02:50, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Ok 1500 UTC should be good. What are your skype names? Witty lama 22:02, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Could we go with 10am EST, which by your calculations would be 4pm in Sweden (+1 UTC)? What's your respective Skype account names? Witty lama 02:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Regarding reverting edits of Kazi Nazrul Islam Page
Dear Rama Arrow,
Peace and greetings.
This is Dr. Mohammad Omar Farooq. I am a Nazrul researcher and I maintain the only comprehensive website dedicated to the life and works of Nazrul. Indeed, the resources at the site were extensively used and referred to in putting together the Misplaced Pages article on Nazrul. My own writings on Nazrul have also been included in the reference section of the essay.
Recently, while going through the Misplaced Pages article, I came across a particular information that is uncorroborated. Indeed, the particular reference given is not even accessible. Based on three leading biographies of Nazrul and additional research (that does not contradict the information provided in these biographies), I edited the part related to Nazrul's illness and treatment and added specific, corroborated information (including about the physicians who examined Nazrul and their diagnosis). It seems all my edits have been reverted by you.
Since you have contributed so much to this page, obviously you have interest in this article. I am wondering if you can help me understand your reason to revert it. After all, if you care about Nazrul, I am sure you will like to have accurate information about him. Furthermore, as a Misplaced Pages contributor, we all must have interest in improving the pedia through better research and works.
I would greatly appreciate if you can help me understand your decision to revert my edits.
I can also be directly contacted at farooqm@globalwebpost.com.
Best regards.

Re: Kazi Nazrul Islam
Dear Rama Arrow,
Peace and greetings.
Thank you so much for your prompt feedback and clarification. I am not that experienced with Misplaced Pages. Maybe you can help me understand a few general things and then address a specific matters about the Nazrul article.
1. "I had no intention to un-do your edits."
Is a featured article a specially protected one and/or under special control or supervision of any specific individual. Also, who can "revert" an edit?
2. "The only problem with a few of your edits is that when you add fresh information, you must provide citations with reliable sources."
Can you help me understand how to add/edit citations? When I try to edit Notes by clicking on Edit (on the right side of Notes), I don't find where the existing notes are.
3. "Also, a few of your sentences (for example, your sentence about Nazrul's criticism of Islam) had several weasel words. These policies apply for all articles, so please be careful."
Each of words that I have used very carefully reflect accuracy about Nazrul, which is documented at Nazrul site. I can provide specific citations based on Nazrul's own works. I need help with how to edit part.
Thanks for your clarification and welcoming me as a partner in this effort.
Keep up the good work.

Please restore Paige typesetting machine
You deleted Paige typesetting machine as a copyvio. In this case, I believe the article was not a copyvio. I think the copyright on the article expired a long time ago, so that the article (like the 1911 Encyclopedia Brittanica) is now in the public domain, and the typesetting machine itself is a notable piece of printing history. I didn't contribute to the article, but I would encourage you to restore it. --Eastmain 04:04, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Olu (name)
You speedy deleted this article today on the basis of Syberwolff's tagging of the article as patent nonsense. You deleted the article, but I recreated it as it was before with a little wikification (I was removing the tag and left the window open and saved the edit after you deleted it) because the CSD reason was incorrect. Syberwolff has recently been tagging a lot of articles for deletion (most of them incorrectly), and the article was not patent nonsense, rather having a legitimate explanation of the name and its use in Nigeria among the Yoruba. The article, if it is to be deleted, should go through the proper articles for deletion channel and should not be a speedy delete. — ዮም | (Yom) | Talk • contribs • Ethiopia 08:57, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Michael Jordan
Could you do me a huge favor and re-read the article, I've made a laborious effort to address the concerns, also please do me an even more huger favor and go into the process with an open mind. Even though I didn't think it was biased before I've made a concerted effort to change it to more acceptbale version. Thanks in advance. Quadzilla99 18:40, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've done some tweaking, all to the legacy section, and I've responded to you in FAC. Have a look. Quadzilla99 06:21, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Also edited the Jerry West sentence in the player profile section, removed West's statement that he considered him the best defensive player in the league, just stated that West was impressed with his defense or something thereabouts. Quadzilla99 09:23, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- I responded to you in the FAC and made some changes. The changes are in the Wizards section and the after retiring as a player section. Take your time in responding no rush. Quadzilla99 18:34, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- The Michael Jordan FAC has been re-listed (which was probably a good idea). Thought you'd like to know, here's a quick link. Quadzilla99 17:32, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Intervol
Hi there, I was wondering under what grounds the article 'Intervol' was deleted by you? It may not have had references as yet but it is a constitution certified member of one of the largest and most well-respected universities in England. The page is useful as it gives readers of the main university of birmingham page more information if they want it. Please could I have a copy of the page so that I can correctly reference it and then re-include it. I would have much preferred some constructive criticism and help rather than a quiet removal. Is your role to simply remove the unreferenced material again and again or to teach people how to correctly assemble pages?
Thank you for your time.

You warned this wikipedian
You warned Gene Nygaard, about rudeness, and boorish behaviour.
He has told me he has "important concerns" about what he regards as my misuse of categories.
I told him that I am new to creating categories, and asked him to make an effort to explain to me where I have gone wrong. He declines to explain his hinnts about his important concerns. I think I have been civil with him. I don't think he has been civil with me.
I am willing to acknowledge that he may be correct, in the points he has hinnted about. But, IMO, he hasn't made a good faith attempt to explain himself, and he hasn't convinced me.
I think he should refrain from acting as if the matter we are discussing has been resolved, in his favour.
You can see our recent exchanges under User talk:Gene Nygaard#Arabic names. (i told him I was drawing it to your attention.)
I don't think Mr Nygaard really realizes how destructive his behaviour is. I see it as a violation of wp:not#wikipedia is not a battlefield.
If you think Mr Nygaard is correct, and that his concerns hold merit, could you give me some guidance as to who or wear I could look for guidance as to which errors I am committing in my use of categories?
If you think I am correct and that he is behaving rudely, and his rudeness shows he is not in compliance with earlier commitments he has made, what do you think I should do next?
FWIW, do you think I am correct to think I continued to comply with wp:civ?
Thanks! -- Geo Swan 05:41, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

- Wow! Thanks. And a coincidence really! Hehe. Bye the way, both you and me seem to be less active these days! Sorry I could not give any comment on Montreal screwjob. Was happy to see it getting featured. You remember Arundhati bakshi? She is back in WP. Also saw areJay active in the Montyreal FAC. However, Deepu had to quit for some personal reasons. So did Nobleeagle. Yes, when I remember talking with you one year back, it feels nice! With Nichalp, Dineshkannambadi and others around, hope we'll see more and more featured articles. Let's see if your prediction of crossing 100 India related FAs by 2007 comes true. Happy editing! Thanks you. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 16:24, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

Deletion of Talk:Daft Punk/Archive 1
Hello, I would like to ask why the page Talk:Daft Punk/Archive 1 was deleted. I see the reason why listed as "CSD G7" which quotes:
# Author requests deletion. Any page for which deletion is requested by the original author in good faith, provided the page's only substantial content was added by its author. If the author blanks the page, this can be taken as a deletion request.
The deletion doesn't make any sense since it was an archive of the original talk page - Talk:Daft Punk. Douglasr007 19:14, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
An old friend seems to be back
Hello Rama's Arrow
I think that Hkelkar is back again, under the Triedsolve identity. Indeed, I questionned the validity and neutrality of one of Hkelkar articles in a discussion page; suddenly, a new user called Triedsolve popped up, proceeding to the usual war-editing and unjustified reversions user Hkelkar used to be known. Incman is also suspecting the sockpuppetry, here. Is it possible to check ?
Thanks

Hi
Hi! The chat in Misplaced Pages weekly is great. It was nice to hear you three people discuss the status of Misplaced Pages in South Asia. Bye the way, this guy is repeatedly adding Khaksar Movement (Khaksar Tehrik) in IIM. I reverted quite a few times. Now I see you are doing the same! Next time, s/he needs to be explained why it is being reverted. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 19:32, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. I was about to ask you again. Did you take a look at Fowler and Nichalp's ideas? Do you have any more suggestions that I can work on? Do I put it up for a GA nomination and/or a peer review at this point? Aditya Kabir 22:16, 15 March 2007 (UTC) - please, answer to my talk page

Hi, A staement by User:Citecop involved my interactions with you as an early user. My reply was that I'll ask you if the initial behaviour still has any relevance.
I know my interactions very early on may have been counter productive. I would also like to bring to your attention that the the barnstars awarded to me were not given by Hindutva editors or even Hindus. Your opinion is held in high regards by all involved and if you take the time to post then I'll appreciate it a great deal. Many regards, Freedom skies| talk 10:44, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Education in Bangladesh, please, help
I have started working on the article Education in Bangladesh. It was in an extremely bad shape. The last few edits were turning it into a motley hotchpotch of text, link and image for private university/English medium agenda-pushers. Even without that the article had little content. I have began by putting in an enormous amount of fresh text, and even more massive amount of resource links (Banglapedia, government sites and downloadable pdf links). Now the real work should begin. Would you lend a hand in this? I can't do it alone. Do you have anyone else in mind who might help? That person doesn't need to be Bangladeshi. Free Images
Hello Rama's Arrow! I hope you are doing well. Recently, an editor asked me to help him copyedit an article on Sai Kumar (which I have done). He also requested me to find an image of the actor. I tried searching Flickr though I could not find an image. Could you, with your expertise, direct me to website(s) where I can use an image that conforms to Misplaced Pages liscensing standards? Your help would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. With regards, Anupam 02:41, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Re: Shahbag, references and redlinks
No, the references are not meant as further readings. At least one (alas, removed by you) 1912 book is cited even inline. What is needed? In-line citation from all of those sources? That's possible, but will take a little time (I don't have all of those books around, certainly not the documents from the Nawab Bari). Date of publication are all given, publishers name can be added (let me check), but ISBN numbers can be a problem. Bangladeshi publications started to have ISBN numbers only recently (can't exactly tell the year). please, advise.
Now for the redlinks, was it necessary to create so many redlinks. Not all the schools in an area may warrant a separate article, but all put together may represent a formidable presence. The Christian New Year is the common new year around the world (i.e. January 1). It is significant in thsi context because Bangladesh also celebrates two other new years - the Bengali New Year, and the Hijri New Year. Boli Khela is the Bengali name for wrestling and Basanta Utsav is explained in fair details already on the article (though, I guess, I am going to take this opportunity of creating articles on those). Let me take another day to create stubs for the rest. Please, advise.
Now, for two more tthngs. First, what's it with image arrangement? The article, I think, was looking better before this new arrangement. Besides, it has messed up the formatting of the palace list (at least on my Mozilla Firefox, can't tell about Explorer). And, finally - does the separate section on festivals really has to go? Festivals, I believe, do warrant a separate section in the article. Once again, please, advise. And, oh, didn't you spell it Shahbaug on my talk page? Cheers. Aditya Kabir 20:29, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Admin Coaching
- Hi Rama's Arrow, I hope you don't mind my asking directly, but I'm looking for admin coaching. It was recommended that we directly contact coaches. I have been with wikipedia since july 9th 2006 and have 2 (soon to be 3) featured pictures. I'm aiming for my RfA around june/july time. Probably on july 9th when it's been exactly one year, as that gives me a good 2-3 months to get up to standard. I'm looking for guidance on where I can be more active and where I can plug any potential holes in my RfA. I shall endevaour not to be much of a burden should you agree, specific area's of interest are image deletion, articles for deletion and copyright issues. All the best: WikipedianProlific 21:23, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- Email will be fine Rama. As you suggest I shall contact you via email from this point on. Your welcome to do the same. Thanks very much for your help. I'm sure it will prove very valuable in the coming weeks WikipedianProlific 22:23, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
