I realize that openly saying I'm fascist puts a target on my head and I won't be surprised if some kind of mob forms to railroad me out of Misplaced Pages, but I'm willing to take that risk. I will live and die a fascist. Maybe some of the more enlightened individuals on Misplaced Pages can realize the value of having someone on Misplaced Pages coming from a fresh perspective on things. -Billy Ego
Interests: Fascism, Corporativism, Socialism, Planned economy, Anti-capitalism, Economics of fascism, Fascism and ideology
I am a fascist, in the classic sense. By that I mean the general philosophy of both the Italian Fascists and the National Socalists (NAZIs), particularly their economic programs. I oppose Marxian socialism as well as capitalism. I believe in allowing some private property because I believe people should be paid for the work. But I believe the capitalists and should be controlled by the state and required to work in the interests of the nation instead of exploiting the populace for profit. I seek an end to finance capitalism where capitalists steal from the people through usury. Nationalization of industry may not be necessary in all cases, but when private enterprise is allowed is must be under the control of the state. Laissez-faire capitalism allows greed to rule and is too chaotic and unpredictable to be relied upon. The market cannot be completely trusted. The state must make sure resources are distributed in an equitable manner. Businessmen must be reigned in and forced to serve the interest of nation if they will not do so willingly. I support pretty strict controls over the economy. No capitalist should be allowed to charge excessive prices for his goods and wages should be fair. Therefore I support wage controls, in the form of minimum wage laws as well as caps on the obscene salaries such as those of of CEO's. I also support price controls to make sure the right products are affordable to those who need them. I support the elimination of interest charges for loans, if not at least maximum limits on interest rates. I also support the shutting down of large department stores such as Wal-Mart because they are putting the mom-and-pop stores out of business. One the demands in the Basic Programme of the National Socialist (NAZI) party was this: "Help for small shops and businesses; large department stores must be closed down." I believe that everyone who can should work, but I also support a national welfare system, a state-managed social security system, and national universal healthcare system, because what good is a nation that does not care for its weak, old, and sick? Capitalists have a duty to provide for those in need. But it is not just capitalists who have social responsbility. Everyone has a duty to serve the collective good and if they refuse the state must step in to make sure that they do. Selfish individualism should not be tolerated. The choice does not have to be between capitalism and Marxian socialism. There is a "third way," as Mussolini put it. And that way is FASCISM.
Pertinent quotes
"We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions" ---Adolph Hitler
"I want everyone to keep the property he has acquired for himself according to the principle: benefit to the community takes precedence over benefit to the individual . But the state must retain control and each property owner should consider himself an agent of the state. It is his duty not to use his property against the interests of others among his own people. This is the crucial matter. The Third Reich will always retain its right to control the owner of property." ---Adolph Hitler
"Our adopted term "Socialist" has nothing to do with Marxian Socialism. Marxism is anti-property; true Socialism is not." ---Adolph Hitler in the Sunday Express circa 1930
"Fascism the precise negation of that doctrine which formed the basis of the so-called Scientific or Marxian Socialism." ---Benito Mussolini
"Fascism is definitely and absolutely opposed to the doctrines of liberalism, both in the political and economic sphere." ---Benito Mussolini
