Andrew John Hurley (born May 31, 1980 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin) is most notably the drummer of the Chicago-based punk rock band Fall Out Boy.
Personal Life
According to the February 2007 issue of Rolling Stone, Andy's father died when Andy was five and he was raised by his mother, who was a nurse. Also according to the February 2007 issue of Rolling Stone, Andy is so strict about being straight edge, that he pulls the collar of his shirt up over his mouth and nose when Joe Trohman smokes pot.
Hurley considered himself to be a trouble maker who drank and did not listen to authority. He became straight edge in his teen years and leads that lifestyle to this day as well as a vegan lifestyle. His favorite bands were Slayer and New Kids on the Block, Hurley said in Rolling Stone.
Andy went on to attend University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and tried for a double major in anthropology and history. It is not known that he graduated.
