It will be the latest edition to the long-running WWE SmackDown! video game series based on the professional wrestling promotion World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). It will be the sequel to 2006's WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007.
IGN.com posted screenshots of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 and so far Bobby Lashley, Triple H, Undertaker, and Kane are confirmed as playable superstars. It will also be the the first WWE game to be released on the PlayStation 3 as well as the Nintendo Wii and DS consoles as reported on WWE.com. It will also be the first in the series to feature to the revived ECW brand.
