Lake or Lacul?
Do we replace Lacul with Lake? Xx236 (talk) 08:54, 5 September 2023 (UTC)
- Lake for actual lakes, Lacul for untranslatable names (e.g. Lacu Sărat). Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 09:00, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
Women in Green's 5th Edit-a-thon
Hello WikiProject Romania:
WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2023!
Running from October 1 to 31, 2023, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.
We hope to see you there!

I have nominated Byzantine Empire for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" in regards to the article's featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:05, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

26 Romanian gas field articles proposed for deletion
One editor has been proposing many gas field articles for deletion over the last few days. Articles are tagged as non-notable with bad references.
Merging content into List of natural gas fields in Romania is a potential alternative to deletion.
You're invited to look at these and see what should be done. If you have refs you can add, that would be helpful.
If you agree or disagree with deletion, there are instructions on the deletion notice for what to do.
Here's the current list:

Help, please
Hello, Romanians! I'm after WP:N-good sources for LINDA SASKIA MENCZEL, would like to make an article about her if possible. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 12:56, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ping to @Nenea hartia, who helped me once before. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 13:05, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Gråbergs Gråa Sång: Unfortunately I can't find much about her in the Romanian press. There are many references to her actually, but generally they are announcements of her exhibitions, most of them published in the local press of Timișoara. I have a subscription to this big Hungarian and Romanian newspaper archive and I searched there too but found only the same kind of articles in the same kind of newspapers (Renașterea Bănățeană from Timișoara). See for example here (the link is valid for 6 days). However, I also found a potentially useful source: her profile published on the webpage of the Timiș County Council. Recently someone also created an article about her on ro.wiki, but it's mostly her about her, so not very useful. I am sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. --Nenea hartia (talk) 16:24, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Nenea hartia, thanks, I owe you! Yeah, that WP-article wasn't there when I looked yesterday, though I found her name at . It seems to have the usual COI-beginner problems, pictures included. I learned of her name at Misplaced Pages:Teahouse#Posting/Pasting_from_a_google_docs_file.
- Thanks for the pdf:s, I grabbed them. On the uapt.cjtimis.ro link, I got the impression it's a website by an organization she's a member of (Uniunea Artiştilor Plastici din România)? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:51, 30 January 2024 (UTC)

- @Gråbergs Gråa Sång: yes, I think you are right. 'cjtimis.ro' is definitely the website of the Timiș County Council, but that link is weird. The official website of the Timișoara chapter of Uniunea Artiștilor Plastici din România seems to be this one, so I really don't know what to say. They seem to have two websites, one probably hosted by the County Council... On the other hand, if you think that the pdfs can be useful, I have added the complete newspapers in the same link. --Nenea hartia (talk) 17:30, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks again. I haven't tried to read the pdf-articles yet, but the text is copypaste-able, so I should get the gist with google translate. I managed to make an article on a Slovenian, Christoph Steidl Porenta, so this seemed like an interesting task. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:51, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
