Use in Europe

Somebody edited in a statement about how European authorities mandate the use of intumescents. That is false. Authorities mandate code compliance. Whether you accomplish that with an intumescent or an endothermic or a plaster or a frizzle frazzle, is secondary. The application of firestopping is adequately referenced in here.--Achim 23:14, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Images

I plan on editing this article in regards to the excessive wording of the captions should be incorporated into the article's text, and the extraneous pictures which do not contribute materially to the understanding of the article's content. Comments? Kilmer-san (talk) 05:37, 16 April 2011 (UTC)

Reference needed for building code. Article 721.5.2.3 of 2009 International Building Code published by the International Code Council and adopted my many governements requires fire proofing coatings to pass tests of Article 703.2 of the same code. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.91.10.180 (talk) 15:05, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

advertising??

is there a Misplaced Pages rule on the use/mention of brand names and photos? Specifically, in the photo before the last one, there are brands being advertised in the photo and in the caption. Someone who is more Wiki-savvy, please advise. Thanks, Kamran the Great (talk) 06:36, 26 January 2017 (UTC)

Section on intumescent coatings added

Started a section on this. As it is a field in its own right, may need a article of its own eventually. GRALISTAIR (talk) 21:32, 8 March 2021 (UTC)

I will fully reference as I notice this article is very lacking of references GRALISTAIR (talk) 21:52, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
