Project-independent quality assessments

Quality assessments are used by Misplaced Pages editors to rate the quality of articles in terms of completeness, organization, prose quality, sourcing, etc. Most wikiprojects follow the general guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Content assessment, but some have specialized assessment guidelines. A recent Village pump proposal was approved and has been implemented to add a |class= parameter to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, which can display a general quality assessment for an article, and to let project banner templates "inherit" this assessment.

No action is required if your wikiproject follows the standard assessment approach. Over time, quality assessments will be migrated up to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, and your project banner will automatically "inherit" any changes to the general assessments for the purpose of assigning categories.

However, if your project decides to "opt out" and follow a non-standard quality assessment approach, all you have to do is modify your wikiproject banner template to pass {{WPBannerMeta}} a new |QUALITY_CRITERIA=custom parameter. If this is done, changes to the general quality assessment will be ignored, and your project-level assessment will be displayed and used to create categories, as at present. Can you, members of various WikiProjects, please update the 2022 in Australian television article?

Can you, members of this WikiProject, and related WikiProjects, please update the 2022 in Australian television article? The reason why I am doing this, is because I don't have time to rewrite the article in the first place. I will then do WP:BOLD edits to that article afterwards. Yours sincerely, TechGeek105 (his talk page) 07:50, 23 July 2023 (UTC)

Pinging @Lotsw73, to see if he could potentially improve the article, per the update tag I added to the article in July and per other Australian television articles, with more 2022 Australian television shows. Yours sincerely, TechGeek105 (his talk page) 06:53, 3 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi TechGeek105, I will take a look and see what I can improve. All the best, Lotsw73 (talk) 00:39, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

AMV (TV station) references

@Happily888, and other members of this WikiProject, I can't improve the references with a missing title on AMV (TV station), which I put into that article, as I am too busy in my personal life. Can you members please do that for my convenience. See this discussion for more information: Misplaced Pages:Help desk#September 3#Referencing errors on AMV (TV station). Expanding Foxtel 3D with the references I found via Google

@Happily888, @5 albert square, and other members of this WikiProject, can you please expand Foxtel 3D with the references I found via Google, as I simply am busy with my personal life. I recently PRODded the article on 17 September.

Filmography tables

Hey. I wanted some clarification from other participants of this project. In a performer's Filmography section I thought that it was not encouraged to add non-notable television credits such as appearances on talk shows or game shows, where the person is appearing as themselves. User:Whitleyscott1973 has been mass editing endless Australian actors and actresses articles adding these to the filmography tables. Some long-term performers end up with massive slogs of information in their acting credits, that are not even film roles. Is there a consensus, a guideline or a rule against adding this information? I noticed the editor has been approached about their additions but nothing has changed. Some examples I have removed are this and this Previous discussions on Filmographies have determined that "in addition to excluding ads, we always leave out 'talk show' appearances out of filmographies as well" for actors and filmmakers. An editor on their talk page mentioned this discussion: Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers/Archive 16#Music videos.Rain the 1 19:46, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Hi @Raintheone, I can't help you with this one, but I will ping a few other editors to see if they can help. @Happily888 @TechGeek105 @5 albert square @JuneGloom07 @SatDis Any thoughts? Lotsw73 (talk) 05:44, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
I agree that talk show appearances shouldn't be included, unless perhaps the interviewee is performing as a character (or is a recurring guest on a panel show). If there isn't a guideline as such, then I'd go by the previous agreed consensus at WP:FILMBIO. It might also fall under WP:INDISCRIMINATE. - JuneGloom07 Talk 20:23, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
