Feedback on potentially biased block
You have protected the Autism Speaks article because you say it will always be a target for what you term 'vandalism'. However, I feel this does not take the source of the "vandalism", and what I feel is the consequential enshrining of one side in a controversy without allowing the other side an opportunity to be heard. The reason I looked up the article in the first place was to find out why the administrator of the r:/autism reddit requested that no posts linking to that organization be posted because so many autistic Reddit members found them objectionable or questionable. And all I was thinking of doing, when I found there wasn't even an acknowledgement in the Misplaced Pages article that there even WAS any such controversy, was to add a perspective note worded something like, "To be fair, it should be noted that some people feel / believe / have a different opinion " ... whatever language it takes to be sure both sides have been fairly presented. If removing the block is a non-starter ... and I can understand how that might not be as simple as it seems ... please, in the interests of justice and fairness, at least add such a note yourself Dan O Shanter (talk) 06:13, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
Full protection on Changi Airport
Hello, can you revert back to the last stable version on Changi Airport prior to the dispute? ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 13:39, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- No, I protected it at the version that stood when I got to it. Discuss on the article talk page. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 13:43, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- That's why I filed a report at WP:ANI/3RR. They did not bother to address the points I made on their talk page(s), and instead continued to edit war in the matter of WP:IDIDNTHEARTHAT. Reverting to the previous stable version will give them the incentive to continue the discussion on the talk page like they should have, instead of persistently reverting. Also, they never bothered to address their COI editing. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 13:48, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- So by that logic, you now have incentive to discuss on the article talkpage, and I again suggest you do so. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 13:56, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Per this diff I explained the reasons why their edit was not an improvement on their talk page, and received no response. They instead kept edit warring in the edit summaries sticking to their own viewpoint. So who has the incentive to continue the discussion on the talk page exactly? Frankly speaking, protecting the page will not do anything as the other user showed no interest in continuing the discussion as long as their preferred logo is on the article. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 14:08, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- The IP has not edited since you left that message, and also, THAT IS NOT THE ARTICLE TALK PAGE. You want your change to stick, get consensus ON THE ARTICLE TALK PAGE. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 14:13, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not sure that you understand that the IP and Caskin3 are clearly the same person (or a meatpuppet), as the latter was registered right after the IPs last edit and continued to edit war with right afterwards. Regardless of the venue, they showed no interest in continuing the discussion on their talk pages atter I left them multiple messages and warnings. Also, there is absolutely no need to WP:SHOUT here. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 14:22, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
