Re: Hawaii / Alaska infobox images...
If you look at this diff you will see where I made the changes. I basically had to create two new images and upload them to commons (which took a little while). Once I had the images, I modified the location of the Hawaii and Alaska images to use the new .png's I made, instead of the default .svg images the rest of the states are using. --MattWright (talk) 22:30, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Re: Talk Page Tags On Articles
My bad - I noticed that a few days ago but have been too busy to go back and fix the ones I applied. I don't know if they get the most exposure on the talk pages, though. It took over a year for me to notice them. Pats1 23:52, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Update: Talk Page Tags on Articles
I've moved the ones on the articles I know of, but I remember there being a list of all the articles/talk pages that are tagged with the NFL Project tag. Do you know where that list is? I want to make sure I moved all of them. Pats1 00:17, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Majorly's RfB
Hi Just H , thanks for your kind support in my RfB. Sadly, it didn't pass, but I appreciate the support, and I do intend to run again eventually. See you around! Majorly (o rly?) 03:32, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
My RfA
Hi, my RfA has been successful. Thanks a lot for your support. :) --soum (0_o) 10:24, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Danny's RfA
I think you had better read the comments on your vote in Danny's vote. Perhaps you are in the wrong project as a comment stated. I have given what I said in your editor review some thought, and I have decided that perhaps democracy isn't all it is cracked up to be. I think Danny gave an impression of "I'm Danny. Vote for me." in his RfA, but he has proven that he has been a major contributor to Misplaced Pages in the past and has been a very important admin in the project. I will continue to support him even though you raised many important concerns in his RfA. Captain panda 17:03, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well this is going to sound very weird, but I have thought, since I started editing here, that many of Misplaced Pages's policies and goals are impossible to achieve. I have never thought that concensus can successfully happen except in the most basic of questions. I consider WP:NPOV, WP:CIVIL, WP:ATT all to be impossible to attain, so I don't think Danny made such a terrible breach with WP:OFFICE. Sorry. Captain panda 23:44, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
A deep concern
Regarding your comment on Danny's RfA, I think your oppose rationale is terribly flawed. Demanding that he apologize for implementing actions at the behest of Jimbo Wales to protect the project is unkind, shortsighted, and, in my opinion, petty. You've expressed an interest in becoming an administrator in the future, but at the current juncture, I feel I would have to oppose based on your conduct and the lack of judgment reflected in the text of your oppose. Please note, my intention is not to upset you, nor is this some sort of 'retaliation' because we disagree on the RfA (I'm supporting the candidate, but many of the oppose arguments are very well written, logical, and I respect their opinions while disagreeing on the larger scope). I ask you to please consider updating your oppose rationale to something other than what it is now. From a strategic standpoint, it hinders the opposition. More importantly, from a human standpoint, it is desperately out of touch with many basic virtues and sends a message that I'm certain you didn't mean to send about yourself. This is an expression of concern that I hope you will receive in the spirit it was sent. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 23:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Mooninite.PNG)
Thanks for uploading Image:Mooninite.PNG. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Misplaced Pages under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Misplaced Pages. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Misplaced Pages page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Jkelly 04:26, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
no hard feelings of course...
Don't worry. I still disagree with you and believe Danny's comment was perfectly reasonable given the pretty unreasonable attack (and I mean that particular oppose !vote, many of the rest are perfectly legitimate). But maybe I should have been more careful and I suppose my comment (however liberating!) isn't particularly constructive. Cheers, Pascal.Tesson 22:22, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
