Ok, the bot takes care of almost everything I do, I'm swamped with work right now. I'm outta here. If you need anything urgent, email me. -- Tawker 01:03, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Removal of template acknowledging source of imported material

Please see Template talk:EnPW. I see that a dozen or more pages had that acknowledgment removed "per Danny". A violation of license, on the face of it. Robin Patterson 18 Feb 2007

Master Nan

I assume you are the one who deleted the article on Master Nan. I can't understand why you did that as the sources were cited and corrections were made to avoid copyright infringement. Moreover, at the time the only tag on the article was for the article to be cleaned up. All I did was try to reiterate some facts on a famous buddhist scholar and all the work put into it has been deleted in a flash and without warning. I cannot claim to be tech savvy enough to know whether you are directly responsible, but if so, it makes unfamiliar and new contributors like myself have a strong sense of distaste that there is not even the chance for correction. What's the point of trying to establish an article if it keeps on getting deleted before it's done. If you could please give specific reasons why it was deleted as the article was rewritten to avoid copyright infringement.

Don't Remove Speedy Tags

Please do not remove speedy tags. If you diasgree with a speedy deletion add {{hangon}} to the top of the page. If you remove it again, I will report to an admin and you will be blocked.

Bot monitoring of Misplaced Pages:Introduction

About a year ago, Tawkerbot2 started monitoring Misplaced Pages:Introduction, and it did a great job of keeping the top two lines intact. See my original request explaining the requirements User talk:Tawker/Apr06#Vandalism on Misplaced Pages:Introduction

AntiVandalbot was at one time also monitoring this page, but now it is not. Can you have it start monitoring the page again? Or, if it is not too much trouble, extract out the code for a seperate bot to monitor this page (and possibly Misplaced Pages:Introduction 2 and Misplaced Pages:Introduction 3.

As a reminder the first two lines of Misplaced Pages:Introduction should be:

{{Please leave this line alone}}

It doesn't seem to be working, I'll talk with Martinbot's operator, but if there is someone else I should talk to please let me know TIA --Trödel 14:11, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
MartinBot is not working correctly in reverting the vandalism - could you take a look at it. Thx --Trödel 20:51, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok, I'll see what I can do. I'm out of town for a few days, so I'll see if I have time to pound away -- Tawker 21:15, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! Have a good easter weekend and worry about it when you get back :) --Trödel 01:50, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

User:AntiVandalBot

Has this bot been disabled? It stopped editing on April 4th. I also noticed that it wasn't placing warnings on the vandals' talk page. -- Hdt83 09:20, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Hilary Duff

The following message has been received :- Your recent edit to Hilary Duff (diff) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to recognize and repair vandalism to Misplaced Pages articles. If the bot reverted a legitimate edit, please accept my humble creator's apologies – if you bring it to the attention of the bot's owner, we may be able to improve its behavior. This was a legitimate edit showing the position a single had reached in the Italian charts, and there seems no reason why the bot should consider it to be vandalism. Is the bot malfunctioning or is this simply something that can be put right by restoring the edit? Skinsmoke 16:22, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

It was the CAPS in the edit that caused it. I'll see what I can do... its a hard one to catch, most of the time its edits like XXX IS STUPID that we see which the bot is designed to catch, thanks for the note and fixing it. -- Tawker 23:01, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
