South Park Mexican (born Carlos Coy, October 5, 1970 in Houston, Texas) is a Mexican-American rapper, currently in prison after being sentenced by a state District judge in Harris County on one felony charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Carlos maintains his innocence, and his case is now on appeal due to allegedly false claims used as evidence in his case. His stage name derives from the South Park neighborhood of SouthEast Houston Texas in which he was raised.
Dope House Records albums
In 1995, Carlos, along with his brother Arthur, founded his own record label, Dope House Records. With the help of his deceased longtime friend DJ Screw, Carlos grew up to be one of the most relevant underground Rap/Hip-hop labels of the 90's-2000's. He later released his second album, Hustle Town, through his label with distribution in Houston under Southwest Wholesale. In 2000 he signed a joint venture between his label and Universal Music Group which earned him a $500,000 advance and national distribution. In total he has released 9 albums, including features on other DopeHouse Records artists, both his musical and social talent influenced many artists.

Paternity tests
In July 2001, 20-year-old Jill Odom filed a lawsuit to force Coy to take a paternity test and legally declare him the father of her son. Odom was 14 years old at the time of the child's birth, and alleged that the then-21 year old Coy was aware that she was in seventh grade. This incident would later be used against Coy in his molestation charge of a separate girl. Coy was legally declared the child's father and was forced to pay back child support and other expenses.
incarceration
Carlos Coy is currently incarcerated and being held at the Powledge Prison, part of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System, waiting his appeal. Since his arrest he has kept in touch with his fans, many of which write to him in the Ask 'Los section of the DopeHouseRecords website, since his imprisonment he focuses on writing to his family, friends, and fans. Is in the process of writing an Autobiographical book on his life, and writing movies for DopeHouse films which influenced by the positive views on his Gangs R Out campaign.
Ongoing albums
In October 2006, Dope House Records released the still-incarcerated South Park Mexican's ninth CD entitled When Devils Strike. that earned him the #2 spot on the top independent albums chart for the billboards. The highest achievement by any DopeHouse Records artist.
