Information icon Hello, I'm Denisarona. Your recent edit(s) to the page Liam Neeson appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Denisarona (talk) 09:20, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages.

When editing Misplaced Pages, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to 2021 Formula One World Championship does not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits a summary may be quite brief.

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Misplaced Pages account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 21:14, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Specifically, I've noticed your editing on multiple DC Extended Universe-related pages, replacing links to the pages of DCEU versions of multiple characters with their generic pages. I'm not saying you're wrong, but this goes against the current structure of many of these pages and may be considered by some to be disruptive without so much as starting a debate first. If you would like to contest these edits, feel free to start a debate at Talk:DC Extended Universe by clicking "start a new topic" and stating why you would like these pages removed.
Thank you,

@WuTang94 alright then Nathanlong3010 (talk) 13:52, 24 October 2022 (UTC)

Player nationalities

Hi there, please note that when a player is born in one country but represents another, consensus is not to list a definitive nationality and simply state who the players actually plays for. Thanks. Kosack (talk) 10:05, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

@Kosack ok Nathanlong3010 (talk) 10:33, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
but for Achraf Hakimi, he's born in Spain to MOROCCAN parents, meaning that he's Moroccan Nathanlong3010 (talk) 10:33, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
Parents aren't really relevant, if he was born in Spain, it's still a conflicting nationality. Kosack (talk) 11:55, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
@Kosack alright alright Nathanlong3010 (talk) 12:11, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

Just a friendly reminder about this... Kosack (talk) 13:20, 25 November 2022 (UTC)

I see you've added another pile of dual nationalities over the last few days, despite repeated requests to stop. Was there any consensus for this? Certes (talk) 12:02, 29 January 2023 (UTC)

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Misplaced Pages, as you did at Kalidou Koulibaly. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. I have messaged you on more than one occasion about listing nationalities for players as you have been doing. Kosack (talk) 13:24, 4 December 2022 (UTC)

@Kosack Listen alright, he was born to SENEGALESE parents in FRANCE, meaning that it is okay to say that HE'S FRENCH-BORN SENEGALESE. THANK YOU. Nathanlong3010 (talk) 04:15, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
No, as I have stated, there is a long-standing consensus to not do exactly that. Thanks. Kosack (talk) 07:35, 5 December 2022 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Misplaced Pages, as you did at Kalidou Koulibaly, you may be blocked from editing. Kosack (talk) 10:13, 9 December 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Hi Nathanlong3010! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Vikkstar123 that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Misplaced Pages—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Georg Cantor

Please stop trying to impose a nationality on Georg Cantor without consensus on the talk page. For what it's worth I also would consider him a German mathematician, but I don't think it's important to say that in the first sentence. --Trovatore (talk) 15:50, 24 April 2023 (UTC)

Stop icon Misplaced Pages editors have a very particular set of skills. Skills we have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make us a nightmare for disruptive editors. If you stop changing Liam Neeson's nationality now, that will be the end of it. But if you don't, we will find you, and we will block you. Certes (talk) 12:19, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

This account seems to be used mainly for editing nationalities against consensus. If continue to do so, your behaviour is likely to be reported on the Misplaced Pages:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents (ANI). This may result in measures to prevent further disruption, such as a block. Certes (talk) 08:55, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

Block notice

Hi @Nathanlong3010, this is Redstar0005. I noticed that some of your recent edit(s) to the page Bang Chan appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. In this particular case, I know it may seem that Bang Chan is Australian because he was raised there, but being born in Korea makes him Korean. If you would like to make an argument about why you think he should be marked as Australian, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Redstar0005 14:11, 17 December 2023 (UTC)

Sorry I did not make this clear in my last message, but he was born to Korean parents in Korea.
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced nationalities or other biographical information to Misplaced Pages, as you did yet again at Bang Chan. Redstar0005 16:45, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
@Redstar0005 what about Korean-Australian or just stick to Korean/South Korean Nathanlong3010 (talk) 18:16, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
Korean because he was born in Korea to Korean parents. Redstar0005 18:18, 17 December 2023 (UTC)

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Misplaced Pages, as you did at Raheem Sterling.

You've been warned multiple times above about what the consensus is on Misplaced Pages regarding nationalities and have now been reverted four times on the Raheem Sterling page alone, please stop. Michaeldble (talk) 13:46, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Thedarkknightli (talk) 10:09, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:

Hi all I want to let know you know that I admit to editing nationalities of people, especially famous football players, as if they were born in a country that is different than their origin, but their parents are of the nationality of the player. One example is Achraf Hakimi as he was born in Spain and has parents from Morocco. I also want to accept the fact that this is totally unacceptable as it breaches the guidelines of Misplaced Pages. I want to let you all know that I promise that this will not happen again. Again I promise, I will be better and I will never ever add nationalities of football players. Thank you.

Accept reason:

per discussion on talk; editor is agreeing not to add nationalities; I'm going to AGF that they also mean not to change nationalities. Valereee (talk) 13:26, 29 May 2024 (UTC)

Please understand that Misplaced Pages's policies are not limited to football players. Contributions such as this edit to Liam Neeson are also unacceptable, especially when repeated again and again and again after warnings, and may also result in your block being reinstated. Certes (talk) 10:05, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
Yes, I also understand that there was not change in nationalities for Liam Neeson and Georg Cantor. It was only that I changed from "an actor from Northern Ireland" to a "Northern Irish actor." I accept the fact that it is unacceptable, and I promise I will not make changes to Liam Neeson. As well for Georg Cantor, I changed from "a mathematician" to "a German mathematician," which I also accept it is unacceptable and thus will not be repeated again.
Thank you again. Nathanlong3010 (talk) 10:08, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
could you please see my message above? Nathanlong3010 (talk) 07:14, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
@Nathanlong3010, would you be willing to agree to not add/change nationalities for BLPs, going forward? Valereee (talk) 19:52, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
(BLP here means biographies of living persons.) Certes (talk) 20:52, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
@Certes yes I agree, once again I promise to not add nationalities. Nathanlong3010 (talk) 01:07, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
@Valereee yes I agree, once again I promise to not add nationalities. Nathanlong3010 (talk) 01:07, 26 May 2024 (UTC) Nathanlong3010 (talk) 01:08, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
