Filmography tables
Hey. I wanted some clarification from other participants of this project. In a performer's Filmography section I thought that it was not encouraged to add non-notable television credits such as appearances on talk shows or game shows, where the person is appearing as themselves. User:Whitleyscott1973 has been mass editing endless Australian actors and actresses articles adding these to the filmography tables. Some long-term performers end up with massive slogs of information in their acting credits, that are not even film roles. Is there a consensus, a guideline or a rule against adding this information? I noticed the editor has been approached about their additions but nothing has changed. Some examples I have removed are this and this Previous discussions on Filmographies have determined that "in addition to excluding ads, we always leave out 'talk show' appearances out of filmographies as well" for actors and filmmakers. An editor on their talk page mentioned this discussion: Misplaced Pages talk:WikiProject Actors and Filmmakers/Archive 16#Music videos.Rain the 1 19:46, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Raintheone, I can't help you with this one, but I will ping a few other editors to see if they can help. @Happily888 @TechGeek105 @5 albert square @JuneGloom07 @SatDis Any thoughts? Lotsw73 (talk) 05:44, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- I agree that talk show appearances shouldn't be included, unless perhaps the interviewee is performing as a character (or is a recurring guest on a panel show). If there isn't a guideline as such, then I'd go by the previous agreed consensus at WP:FILMBIO. It might also fall under WP:INDISCRIMINATE. - JuneGloom07 Talk 20:23, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

More participants needed
Hi everyone, I've been looking at our active participants list on the project page lately and found that there are just 19 active editors who still edit Misplaced Pages and who are part of this project.
So, I was wondering whether all members could please attempt to recruit more editors to join this project. I know it's easier said than done, but it would be nice to have additional editors around here to help us edit the large project that is Australian TV.
No doubt you all know this already, but editors can be recruited by posting comments on the user talk pages of other editors who regularly edit Australian television articles, or who edit television articles in general. You can also view the edit history of Australian television articles to find like-minded editors from there.
I will post a message on the WikiProject Television talk page and reach out to other editors to see whether I can recruit editors myself. Hopefully we'll see a few more members around here soon. All the best everyone, Lotsw73 (talk) 05:31, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
Australian cinema task force
Hello everyone, I stumbled across a task force called the Australian cinema task force. I was wondering whether anyone here would consider joining the task force and perhaps reviving it. Thoughts? Lotsw73 (talk) 03:44, 26 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Lots - I've added myself to both mainly because I do edit film and TV articles from time to time, including at the moment. I don't really want to be involved in driving the task force though, because I like to edit on a range of topics rather than confine myself to one (and like most of us, have limited time and energy and only edit erratically). - @Laterthanyouthink: Fair enough. :) Lotsw73 (talk) 11:12, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Alone Australia
Hi everyone, Just wondering whether any members here might be able to assist me in improving the Alone Australia article. I am trying to add ratings to the episode tables, but I don't understand the data that has been published on the TV Tonight website, here. Can anyone help with adding the ratings to the tables or by explaining how the data works? Kind regards, Lotsw73 (talk) 07:18, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
