He has worked with Harry Nilsson to Madonna and others including, Tiny Tim, Barbra Streisand, The Pointer Sisters, Ringo Starr, and Carly Simon, among others. Perry was the founder of Planet Records.
His career has spanned from the 1970's to today. It was his idea to do the Great American Songbook by Rod Stewart and thus created an entire new genre of American Music which has revitalized the music industry.
He was once married to actress Rebecca Broussard who left him for his best friend Jack Nicholson,a relationship that produced 3 children.
Perry has also dated supermodels Beverly Johnson and Naomi Campbell as well as Tina Turner - he is curently linked to Cynthia Cruz, a Hollywood Social, former Rande Gerber - ite, who has previously dated Sean Penn and was briefly linked with Colin Farrel.
He resides in Los Angeles.
