Mahesh Bansal (born 7 January 1975) is an Indian politician. He was appointed Minister of State(Nominated) For Economics and Statistics (Planning) Department of Uttar Pradesh in Akhilesh Yadav Ministry from 2016 to 2017.
He has been considered to be close to Mulayam Singh Yadav.
He was appointed State Secretary of Samajwadi Party Uttar Pradesh in 2017 when UP CM Akhilesh Yadav was President of Samajwadi Party
