San Francisco International Airport is located in San Francisco, California. It is a hub of United Airlines and has the IATA Airport Code SFO.

It is one of three airports in the San Francisco Bay Area. It can have massive delays in adverse weather, when half of its runways cannot be used. Environmental groups have protested building another runway, which they fear can wreck the habitat of animals living there. San Francisco International Airport will probably remain popular but stagnant while its two neighbors in Oakland and San Jose will continue to grow.

As of June 22, 2003, the BART subway system reaches the airport.

San Francisco International Airport has 3 Terminals.
