There were also reportedly strikes in the area around Zanjan, Western Azerbaijan, Kermanshah, Shiraz, and Karaj. The only ones that there are videos of are Karaj and Zanjan Kiannmehr443 (talk) 01:10, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

Page move

Hey @Personisinsterest, @Brandon Downes, and @Noble Attempt,

I moved the page 2024 Israeli strikes on Tehran to here, a consistent title with April 2024 Israeli strikes on Iran.

Not to be confused with

@HadesTTWI feel like October 2024 Iranian strikes against Israel makes more sense here? Brandon Downes (talk) 00:15, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

I actually agree with you, to be honest I chose this title just to make it consistent with April 2024 Israeli strikes on Iran. You should move it to "against" if you want but it would make it inconsistent with the other title. HadesTTW (he/him • talk) 00:19, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
@HadesTTW To be honest I was not really on about that but that discussion may have to take place. What I was talking about was what should be linked in the "not to be confused with" template at the top of the page. I feel like October 2024 Iranian strikes against Israel is more likley to cause confusion than April 2024 Israeli strikes on Iran? Brandon Downes (talk) 00:25, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
Honestly, they might as well all be linked to each other, these four articles all have very similar names. HadesTTW (he/him • talk) 00:44, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
In my opinion, though I haven't been editing too much on wikipedia, I think it would be best if these were all merged into one singular article, such as 2024 Israeli Strikes in Iran. Kiannmehr443 (talk) 01:11, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

Some pictures that have been released:

A image we could use on this, one of the IDF commanders and the general airforce commander commanding this attack: File:October25israelattack.jpg Jjbomb (talk) 00:37, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

We could use it for now, but it doesn't really portray anything particularly informative to readers, so I'd be more inclined to wait until we have images of the missiles hitting targets in Iran or the damage in the attack's aftermath. Nythar (💬-🍀) 01:08, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
There's literally no photos or anything of this attack, the one in tehran is old, currently Jjbomb (talk) 01:15, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

Operation code name: ״ימי תשובה״

According to IDF twitter account, the operation's code name is ״ימי תשובה״

Highlighting blatant (and ironic) NPOV violation and inconsistency between this article and Iran’s attack article

In the October 2024 Iranian strikes against Israel, the article writes (definitely not in the lead) about the israeli military censorship following the attack:

In some cases, the IDF censor barred Israeli media from publishing the exact locations of missile impacts and the extent of the damage.

while in this article, the article is writing (within the lead) about the Iranian military censorship:

Iran quickly aimed to downplay the attacks, providing minimal coverage and threatened to hand out prison sentences to civilians who shared evidence of the strikes to "hostile" media. This was possibly done to "save face" and prevent further escalation. Stephan rostie (talk) 16:04, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

@Stephan rostie and your issue is? 99.33.126.209 (talk) 18:38, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
I agree. This is very blatant bias Genabab (talk) 20:05, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
This part seems to be supported by major RS, so disagree Galamore (talk) 20:30, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
