Identity is a upcoming Indian Malayalam-language Action Crime-thriller film written and directed by Anas Khan and Akhil Paul. It is produced by Kochumon and Raju Malliath under the banners of Century Films and Ragam Movies. The film features an ensemble cast, including Tovino Thomas, Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Mamtha Mohandas, Madonna Sebastian, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Aju Varghese, Saiju Kurup, and Reba Monica John in prominent roles.
The film was officially announced on November 25, 2022. Principal photography commenced on December 16, 2023, in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The film features music and an original background score by Jakes Bejoy.

Production
Development
The film marks the second directorial collaboration of Anas Khan and Akhil Paul, who also co-wrote the screenplay. The film is produced by Kochumon and Raju Malliath under the banners of Century Films and Ragam Movies. It stars Tovino Thomas, Sanjay Dutt, and Trisha Krishnan. Cinematography is by Akhil George, with editing by Pandian M. Shanmuga. Distributed by Century Films in India.
Casting
Following the success of 2018, Tovino Thomas signed on for the film with directors Anas Khan and Akhil Paul. The team has announced that Trisha Krishnan will play the female lead, alongside Tovino Thomas in the lead role. The film will also feature Mamtha Mohandas, Madonna Sebastian, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Aju Varghese, and Saiju Kurup in key roles. Additionally, the directors have revealed that the movie will introduce several new faces.
Filming
Principal photography of the film began on December 16, 2023, with a puja ceremony. The filming was completed in two schedules across different locations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The first schedule lasted 33 days in Kerala, concluding on January 18, 2024. The second schedule took place in Erode, Tamil Nadu, from June 20 to July 3, 2024.
Marketing
On June 30, 2023, Identity was officially announced with a title poster featuring Tovino Thomas in the lead role. After filming commenced, the production team confirmed that Trisha Krishnan would be playing the female lead. The complete cast was later revealed through a series of promotional posters. Marketing for the film began in early October 2024, with ongoing promotional activities leading up to the release.
Music
The music and original background score for Identity were composed by Jakes Bejoy, known for his work in Ranam and Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. As of now, the music rights for the film have not been sold.
Release
The film is currently in its promotional phase and is scheduled for release in December 2024.
