Addition of false information to multiple articles
Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page.
In this edit, you falsely added Maryland, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Minnesota as states that Bush was the only Republican to win reelection without, which is not true. And in this edit, you falsely claimed that the electoral votes were counted on January 8 in 2004 (they were counted on the 6th, as always). Please fact check your edits before submitting, or seek help on the talk page. Best, Cpotisch (talk) 06:47, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
List of presidents of the United States
Howdy. Would you please get a consensus for images changes at List of presidents of the United States's talkpage. Rather then boldly making such changes. GoodDay (talk) 01:58, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
November 2023
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on List of presidents of the United States. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - wolf 02:13, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
PLEASE.... bring your proposed changes to the talkpages of those articles, instead of slow edit-warring. GoodDay (talk) 02:01, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, as GoodDay requests, you really should go to the talk page of those articles and discuss any changes you wish to make. There is actually a policy that states "Communication is Required", meaning that if you to continue making edits to those pages, you do not have the option of ignoring other editors. Your editing is reaching the point of being disruptive. (Perhaps an admin might even find you are now past that point which will result in sanctions.)
You've already been warned, yet you continue, leaving other editors very little choice but to report you, and leaving an admin very little choice but to block you. - wolf 05:52, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- f**k you Batong1930 (talk) 05:58, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Ah, well this will be very useful, since you can't seem to stop edit-warring or start discussing, it won't be long until you're reported to one admin board or another, and this will show that you're not just a newbie struggling with the rules or having problems with ESL, but a wilfully disruptive user. I will be sure to add your... charming reply to that report to confirm just that. Have a nice day - wolf 07:49, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
- Please stop Your disruptive editing on List of presidents of the United States and List of vice presidents of the United States. As has been said by others, "Communication is Required"; it is imperative you to go to the talk page of these articles and discuss any changes you wish to make. ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:54, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
The convention was held in 1835, not 1836
Howdy. The Democratic Party held its convention to nominate candidates for the 1836 presidential election, in May 1835. So, please don't re-name the convention page 'or' rename links to it. GoodDay (talk) 01:21, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Johnnie Bob. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Joe Biden 2024 presidential campaign, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Johnnie Bob (talk) 00:19, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Joe Biden 2024 presidential campaign, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Misplaced Pages:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Johnnie Bob (talk) 00:25, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Misplaced Pages’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Misplaced Pages administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Misplaced Pages;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
You have recently made edits related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. This is a standard message to inform you that articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Misplaced Pages:Contentious topics.
