Thanks for your contributions to Appa (title). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. GrabUp - Talk 08:07, 29 June 2024 (UTC)

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Misplaced Pages, as you did to Draft:Devane (surname), without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 11:10, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- added citations and some additional info. Thanks for guidance. Regards PerspicazHistorian (talk) 11:24, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, and good luck with the review. But please stop removing the templates from the previous submissions: they are vital guidance for reviewers. Wikishovel (talk) 11:46, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
Hi PerspicazHistorian! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Misplaced Pages—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:06, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- You seem to routinely mark your edits as minor, although many of them aren't – eg. this edit added an entire new section, amounting to 10%+ more content, to an article; there is simply no way that could be considered 'minor' by any measure. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:08, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- okay, will take care now onwards. PerspicazHistorian (talk) 12:11, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Misplaced Pages. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Misplaced Pages account you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary, and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:08, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- learnt just now that giving a summary is important, thanks PerspicazHistorian (talk) 12:11, 4 July 2024 (UTC)

- The topic is legitimately qualified to be added as an article . In India every surname has a history linked to them . When it comes to cattles:- I just added briefly to mention for what the city is famous for. Surnames in India usually represent a deep history and therefore mentioning other details is justified. Please do not reject it again and if necessary let me know what should be improved. The draft is still under development and new citations and edits are being made timely. Thank You! PerspicazHistorian (talk) 15:00, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
- Any history needs to be verified by reliable secondary sources. The cattle don't matter. You keep submitting this, again and again, and it wasn't ready. Plus, reading your other draft (see below) makes me wonder if you truly understand what reliable secondary sources are. Drmies (talk) 15:09, 6 July 2024 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages and copyright
Hello PerspicazHistorian! Your additions to Deoni have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Misplaced Pages:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Misplaced Pages, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Misplaced Pages:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Misplaced Pages:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Misplaced Pages:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Misplaced Pages: Misplaced Pages articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Misplaced Pages:Copying within Misplaced Pages. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 12:58, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- i think it is freely available on internet archives and can be used here. Will not undo the edit without your clearance. Kindly look forward in reverting the edit. If I need to assist further for any kind of help, please ask. Thank you! PerspicazHistorian (talk) 13:04, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- I don't know what exactly you're referring to, but just to say that things simply being available on the internet says nothing about their copyright status. The vast majority of content (text, images, video, etc.) on the internet is subject to copyright. I don't know if you've looked into copyright as Diannaa suggested, but if not, then please do so now; and if you have, then you probably need to dig deeper. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:13, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- i think the issue is that I just copy pasted the content from the source. If that's the issue I thank both of you for the feedback. I will try to re- edit the content with my own words rather than just copy pasting. Thank you! PerspicazHistorian (talk) 15:48, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- I checked carefully and I do believe that the book is protected by copyright. See the Commons:Hirtle chart. "1929 through 1977: Solely published abroad, without compliance with US formalities or republication in the US, and not in the public domain in its home country as of URAA date: copyright for 95 years after publication date" — Diannaa (talk) 22:06, 11 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Diannaa then should I write the information in my own words and then cite the book? I think it should solve the issue. Sorry for asking again. Thank You! PerspicazHistorian (talk) 17:40, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Devane (surname) (August 6)
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted because it included copyrighted content, which is not permitted on Misplaced Pages. This submission appears to be taken from https://amritmahotsav.nic.in/district-reopsitory-detail.htm?18746. And you may not use Facebook and other unreliable sources. I have blocked you from Lingayat Vani for a week, but if you don't change your approach you're going to be blocked from all of Misplaced Pages in short order. Your submission at Articles for creation: Lingayat Vani (caste) (September 4)
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Bobby Cohn was: This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources. The comment the reviewer left was: Lots of unsourced promotional content here that deserves extra scrutiny. Speedy deletion nomination of KBT College of Engineering
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on KBT College of Engineering, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Misplaced Pages. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Misplaced Pages:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Misplaced Pages's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. November 2024
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Veerashaiva. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Ekdalian (talk) 08:44, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- The page is a controversial topic. Deleting the whole page makes no sense. Rather than deleting the whole page from Misplaced Pages, its better to try reaching an consensus. - 1) The article addresses all the opinions.
- 2) The intro itself proves how liberal the article is. Nothing promotes the hindutva ideology. What do you wanna say, whole article is hindutva? PerspicazHistorian (talk) 09:06, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- The article is not about Lingayat Vani, your copied it from other Lingayat related articles isn't, RI 09:08, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- Lingayat Vani are separately addressed in the article. You can't say whole article has been copy pasted. Its a work of research and makes Misplaced Pages a more useful alliance of information gathered from various sources. We can discuss it in the talk page, create a discussion but do not abruptly delete the whole article. If that's not vandalism, what else should i call it? Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Misplaced Pages’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Misplaced Pages administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Misplaced Pages;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
