Sophisticated Boom Boom are a Scottish girl band, initially forming in XXXX and disbanding in XXXX. They were a mainstay in the 1980s Glasgow music scene. Recently, they have reformed and have been performing in various indie venues.

Their "tough girl pop sound" was reminiscent of the Undertones, the Bluebells and the Mo-dettes.
