Rifle Club is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language action drama film directed by Aashiq Abu, written by Dileesh Nair, Syam Pushkaran, and Sharfu, scheduled for release on 19th December 2024. The film stars Vani Viswanath as Ittiyanam alongside an ensemble featuring Anurag Kashyap, Surabhi Lakshmi, Vincy Aloshious, Dileesh Pothan, Suresh Krishna and Darshana Rajendran. Set against a rural backdrop, the film blends action and drama. The movie marks the acting debut of rapper Hanumankind and the Malayalam movie debut of Anurag Kashyap.
Premise
The film revolves around the story of a former sharpshooter, whose quiet life in a rural village is disrupted when a series of violent events force him back into a world he left behind. As tensions rise, the protagonist must reconcile his past and protect his community from a looming threat. The storyline weaves personal struggle with larger social conflicts, set against the backdrop of a once-thriving but now desolate rifle club.

Production
Pre-production
The film was first announced in early 2024, with pre-production discussions beginning in mid-March 2024. It was produced by Shyam Pushkaran under the banner of OPM Cinemas. Shyam Pushkaran also wrote the film, with the screenplay focusing on everyday human struggles and socio-political themes.
Filming
Filming began on 20th March 2024, with the primary shoot taking place in Mundakayam, Kottayam district, Kerala. Key scenes were filmed in rugged terrains. The filming wrapped up by November 2024. Cinematography was handled by Sanu Varghese, and Saiju Sreedharan was responsible for the editing. The shooting process was kept private, with only a few stills released towards the end of production.
Release
Rifle Club is set to release in theatres on 19th December 2024.
