Here's a barnstar!

The Special Barnstar
I thank you for continuing to have a presence in the editing of 15.ai. Your responses to many of claims in talk pages and when others were involved were very calm in spite of possible hostility. While I am not completely sure how Barnstars work, I feel quite sure you deserve one. Thought 1915 (talk) 16:54, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
Thanks, I have no idea, either! Brocade River Poems (She/They) 11:34, 14 November 2024 (UTC)
User:Thought 1915, User:BrocadeRiverPoems - They work just as you did. Any editor can give one to any other editor. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:53, 15 November 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for notifying me of your report. As I have mentioned in my statement, there are both a content dispute and a conduct dispute. The content dispute should be resolved by the RFC. (Maybe more editors will take part in the RFC now that I have neutrally mentioned it at a conduct noticeboard.) Robert McClenon (talk) 05:52, 15 November 2024 (UTC)

Not a problem. Hopefully more users participate in the RfC, getting a broader consensus is helpful in resolving these issues. Brocade River Poems (She/They) 11:17, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

ANI notice.

Hi, BrocadeRiverPoems. Another user has filed a report about you at the admin's noticeboard and failed to notify you, so I am giving you that courtesy. ― "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (talk)  04:58, 16 November 2024 (UTC)

It was an exhausting process which was a large waste of the time of myself and editors at large. It is baffling that people would think continuing to use the WPO thread that I submitted as evidence to ARBCOM against me is a good vehicle of attack, given that ARBCOM saw said thread of accusations and apparently did not find any merit to said accusations since I wasn't sanctioned. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Misplaced Pages arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:55, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

Xue Tao

Hi. The external link on Xue Tao is dead (It says "This site does not exist within the LDAP database."). Should we replace it with this one? Is there a better link? Polygnotus (talk) 16:31, 26 November 2024 (UTC)

Also the article says About 100 of her poems are known nowadays but the tuxfamily site lists 76 so perhaps there is a more complete collection somewhere. Polygnotus (talk) 16:49, 26 November 2024 (UTC)

Hi,
I don't actually know a lot about the Xue Tao article. I glanced at it briefly and it seemed fleshed out enough that I didn't think it warranted my attention. Looking at an archive version of the external link, it doesn't seem to have ever been a substantial collection, even. Your suggested link appears to have a more substantial collection of poems, and I personally do not know of any other website to link. I've read Xue Tao's works in a translated collection in a book, so I've never really looked for a good source of them online.
As for the number of extant poems, I have found this A Song-dynasty one-juan anthology of her poetry has come down to us and eighty-nine of her works are extant. in the Biographical Dictionary of Chinese Women, Volume II: Tang Through Ming 618 - 1644 on Page 523. It'd probably be better to cite the Biographical Dictionary and set the number as 89 extant unless another source can be located.

Looking at the article, I see now that there are a lot of issues with it, and I know the cause of a fair amount of them given what occurred at Geji. I'll work on gradually improving the article as well going forward, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Brocade River Poems (She/They) 02:03, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
Woah that talkpage. Bookmark WP:DR. Thank you. Polygnotus (talk) 02:12, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
It was a disaster that began with them insisting on 3PO and ended with multiple-account abuse. Brocade River Poems (She/They) 02:16, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
People like Liz and Cullen328 are good to ping in such situations. And if you are in a hurry this is a way to contact a recently active admin. Polygnotus (talk) 02:20, 27 November 2024 (UTC)

In my opinion, you made a mistake by making an involved close of the RFC while you not only participated in the discussion but have nominated the article for deletion. I don't plan to do anything about that, because I may be the only editor who has that opinion. There appears to be off-wiki coordination that will complicate the AFD. Please ping me or notify me if any WP:ANI or WP:AN threads are opened. I will probably take part in the AFD within the next three days. Robert McClenon (talk) 17:22, 5 December 2024 (UTC)

To be fair, I just marked the discussion as closed because I had seen in the history of 15.ai that someone had already apparently done so , but I understand what you mean. As for the apparent off-wiki coordination, I more or less expected it would happen. I'm not even sure if it's something that needs to go to ANI or AN,
Cheers. Brocade River Poems (She/They) 06:08, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
For what it's worth, though, there is definitely off-wiki canvassing since they posted it on 4chan within the same day of me posting it at AfD. Brocade River Poems (She/They) 13:28, 6 December 2024 (UTC)

Misplaced Pages:Articles for deletion/15.ai (2nd nomination)

Hello, BrocadeRiverPoems,

Please remember not to BLUDGEON this discussion. It's already growing exponentially and you don't need to respond to every editor presenting a Keep argument. You have already made your case in the nomination statement and you probably should cease from participating any further unless someone directly asks you a question. Thank you. Liz 03:11, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

Will do! I don't really have anything more to add to the discussion. I do want to say, though, that I don't really agree with the characterization that I've responded to every editor presenting a Keep argument. I only responded to Tacotron2 to answer why I tagged them as an SPA and didn't try and refute them or anything, I responded to Iliketrains125's "Comment" because they brought up Speechify and I found an academic book which talked about Speechify. I responded to the IP with the details from WP:WEBNOTE which weren't brought up before and which they left out, and my response to Madeleine961 was asking for them to provide the sources from 2020 if they had them and informing them that the SPS do not contribute to notability since they seemed to be new.
I do admit that because UnstableDiffusion said they felt it "just barely" met WP:WEBCRIT I wanted to respond to them and so I tried to explain why I felt the coverage wasn't significant. I also confess I find WP:BLUDGEON confusing at times because of the whole "we're having a discussion" thing, and when editors present new information, etc. I want to respond such as Madeleine mentioning coverage from 2020, The IP bringing up WP:WEBCRIT, etc. I find myself usually unsure of when I should or shouldn't respond and I end up messing up. So, again, I apologize.
Also like, be honest,
Do my posts come off as extremely grumpy or something? Because I can try and be more casual, I'm just used to writing super formally and I'm starting to worry it gives me this ominous tone and I'm not really sure what 'vibe' we're supposed to be going for, like, formal? casual? semi-formal? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Brocade River Poems (She/They) 03:42, 8 December 2024 (UTC)
