Study Group (Korean: 스터디그룹) is an upcoming South Korean television series co-written by Eom Seon-ho and Oh Bo-hyun, co-directed by Lee Jang-hoon and Yoo Beom-sang, and starring Hwang Min-hyun, Han Ji-eun, Cha Woo-min, Shin Su-hyun, Yoon Sang-jeong, and Gong Do-yu. It is scheduled to premiere on TVING in January 2025.
Synopsis
Study Group is about Yoon Ga-min, who wants to study hard but is only good at fighting, forming a 'study group' while taking on the bloody college entrance exams at the worst school in the world.
Cast and characters
Main
- Hwang Min-hyun as Yoon Ga-min, who looks like a model student on the outside with his neat and innocent impression, but whenever his study group friends are in trouble, he shows off his hidden physical strength and fights in order to 'study'.
- Han Ji-eun as Lee Han-kyung, a teacher who dreams of changing the school. Lee Han-kyung is a talented person who took the top spot in the teacher's exam but is now a temporary teacher at Yuseong High School with a secret.
- Cha Woo-min as Pi Han-ul, the de facto number one in the Yoo Sung High School hierarchy. He is Pi Yeon-baek's son, the head of the Yeon Baek gang.
- Lee Jong-hyun as Kim Se-hyun, the second-best student in the school and the first member of the study group.
- Shin Su-hyun as Lee Ji-woo, who has a weakness for the bullies in the leadership group because of her wandering twin brother.
- Yoon Sang-jeong as Choi Hee-won, Ji-woo's best friend.
- Gong Do-yu as Lee Joon, the study group's self-proclaimed number two.

- Kim Young-ah as Jeon Mi-hyeon, Ga-min's mother.
- Morgan Hoo as Guk Gwan-woo, a high school student who is the main force of Han-ul.
- Hwang Kwang-hee as Do-hoon, a first-year student at Yuseong Technical High School who helps Park Gun-yeop, who is struggling to find the real culprit who murdered his mother.
Production
Study Group was co-directed by Lee Jang-hoon and Yoo Beom-sang, and co-written by Eom Seon-ho and Oh Bo-hyun. It is planned by Studio Dragon and produced by Ylab Plex. It is based on the popular Webtoon of the same name written by Shin Hyung-wook, illustrated by Yoo Seung-yeon and produced by Ylab.
Casting
On August 10, 2023 Hwang Min-hyun is reported had been cast as stated by his agency, Pledis Entertainment.
On September 20, TVING has revealed the main cast that included Hwang Min-hyun, Han Ji-eun, Cha Woo-min, and Lee Jong-hyun, Shin Su-hyun, Yoon Sang-jeong, and Gong Do-yu.
Release
Study Group is scheduled to premiere on TVING in January 2025.
