Panpacific University is a private higher education institution located in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines.
History
Panpacific University, formerly known as Pangasinan Colleges of Science and Technology (PCST), was incorporated on August 26, 1992. It was founded by Romeo T. Padilla and Corazon Padilla, who were educators and entrepreneurs. The vision of the university's founders was to make higher education accessible to college students in Eastern Pangasinan.
In 1993, PCST started its operations in a rented three-story building with ten rooms located along MacArthur Highway in Urdaneta, Pangasinan. From 1995 to 2000, the institution transferred to a new location. The first building was named the Science Building, now known as the School of Education building.
In 2024, Panpacific University proudly marked its 17th Universityhood Anniversary and the granting of Autonomous Status by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on November 26, 2024. This status allows the university to have greater freedom in designing its curriculum and establishing international partnerships. Panpacific University is one of the private higher education institutions granted autonomous and deregulated status by the Commission on Higher Education on September 26, 2024. This status allows the university to have greater freedom in designing its curriculum and establishing international partnerships.
