Syed Najeeb Ashraf Nadvi was an Indian historian, writer, critic, translator and Islamic scholar. He had worked on the books which were lesser known by people. He had served as the director of Anjuman-i-Islam Urdu Research Institute, a research institute based in Mumbai from 1956 to till his death.
