She was 19th elected secretary to the Lagos state government.She was elected by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu June, 2023 and she took over from Folashade Sherifat Jaji

Professional career

She is a Barrister and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria with  over 30years experience. Before she was appointed as the SSG, she  was a Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission (NPC), a position she served since November 2020.

Abimbola Salu-Hundeyin has also served as a Special Adviser (Legal) to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Senator Bala Muhammad. And also elected as the chairperson of African Union-African Population Experts Committee (AU-APEC) in 2019..
